Supplying Demand W51-14CJA1-02 HVAC Condenser Motor 1/4 HP 1 Phase 1 Speed 208/230V 1075 RPM Must Match Specs of Current Motor to Function Correctly

This motor arrived on Memorial day weekend and saved my butt. I had a motor fail and was going to have to have a service call to fix it since I was leaving town the day after Memorial Day. I was able to order this motor on a Saturday and it showed up on Memorial Day! So far it has been working flawlessly. The only small issue for me was that since it is a "universal" replacement, it has an extra long shaft. On the small outdoor unit it was going in, I had to cut the shaft down to clear the compressor. A quick pass with a cut-off wheel, a little clean up with the grinder and I was in business.

Quality looked good but i ordered the wrong one had to return it.

The media could not be loaded. This product was a waste of money and a danger to the system. It burned out within 3 months. My cousin called me to look at it last month, and I’m just barely discovering it 4 months later after coming to diagnose the condenser unit. I want a full refund of this product or an exchange for a brand new motor.

After 16 years the last replacement went bad. I have no complaints. This went right in. I did have to cut down the shaft. The screws lined up exactly. FYI, this does come with a run capacitor. So far, so good. We'll see if it lasts although it is in a very old unit. Just nursing it along until the compressor fails.

This motor replaced the outside condenser fan motor on my heat pump. It replaced a Dayton motor and fit perfectly. The only difference was that the colored wires were different but all that was explained on the motor wiring label. I would buy this motor again.

The unit I received absolutely must be wired in a 4 wire config, even though essentially all 4 wire universal motors can be wired in a 3 wire arrangement, which is what every OEM since the 90s used. Measuring continuity between both L1 and L2, and both start cap wires, there is no direct connection. Unusable for my application, and indeed, most, without adding a single-run cap.

Cheapest fix is to replace the capacitor that kicks the fan motor to turn. Or fan motor may be shorted (but motor is much more expensive).
