I had a large dead willow tree that needed to be cut down starting at the top. My climbing spikes kept releasing at inopportune moments due to the softness of the dead bark and core wood. These steps easily screwed into the trunk and made for a much safer and more secure foot hold for going up and down. also worked well to hang the chain saw when not in use.

I installed on 6" fence posts so I can climb in and out of pasture without having to go to gate. Very happy. I weigh less than 100 lbs so I don't know how these would hold up for someone heavier.

These are awesome. They are thicker than the ones I bought from WM a few years ago.

By just trying to screw these into bark, it's hard. If u can hit them to sink in a bit, they bite in and bury deep. Easy to screw into the tree. Doesn't take alot of effort.

I couldn’t be happier with these. They’re nice quality and sturdy.

They serve the purpose , I wish the deer me steps were still made, that would be my preference
