it is 1 option for light but worth having
Light output is good but not intense like their NVG mount light. But it is good enough and out of the way. If you want your NVG mount for camera or maybe night vision then this light has your needs covered. Light weight and rugged. Yes it rotates for aiming but is not readily adjustable. Aim the tighten hex screw and thats where it stays. The controls are intuitive. press rear button and it comes on to the setting it was turned off. The side buttons cycle the light settings. No chance of mix up. One handed operation. A design complaint. When mounted i can not replace the battery. The mounting bracket grips the battery cover. Need the hex wrench to loosen mounting bracket to open battery compartment. Dont know yet how long a battery will last so dont know yet how much of a hassle changing batteries will be.LML6/26/22The mounting bracket can be placed entirely on the battery cover and still operate the rear switch. So leave cover in place and unscrew light to chg battery.LML

Absolutely love this light.
Fits in my pocket, or on my helmet, has a long-lasting battery and is super bright. I love the red light functions. Only way to make it better was if it strobed white light as well as the red.

Good product, but…
The battery life and light itself is fine. It’s a good, bright light. It’s just not that secured. It may be me or it may be the rail on my helmet is a little worn in that spot - but I can easily remove the light without hitting the tabs. I don’t know how it would hold up if my helmet got thrown around or anything, hopefully I won’t have to find out. But just keep that in mind.

Must Have! Beyond Expectations!
I was skeptical at first, but this flashlight is amazing! With the rechargeable battery included, this light is the best for price, durability, and size. Highly Recommended!!!!

Pretty damn solid.
This guy has been living on my helmet for a few months now and has seen a few operational events. Quite durable, has been useful when needed, and TBH I don't think I've even recharged it since the first charge. Good product.

Mount and light design makes this nearly useless in the field
The brightness is fine, and the ruggedness is fine as well; however, the battery runs out very quickly (as expected, for CR123 batteries), but therein lies the problem...To swap out to new batteries, I have to dismount each light on the side of my helmet, and since it's not a quick release mount, I have to carry Allen wrenches with me in the field and hope I don't lose them, otherwise I can't get the lights off, and then can't put in new batteries (i.e. I can't see anything anymore). And that'll happen after about every 1 hour of usage, or less, depending on the brightness.Another problem is the mount is incredibly difficult to affix to the arc rail in my helmet. I'm trying to wedge it in, but it keeps getting stuck. (And, yes, I loosened the Allen screws before trying). It's just too wide to fit in even remotely reasonably well.Another problem is the 360 degree rotation. The slots are too far apart, so one is angled too low, and another if I turn it upward, then it is angled incredibly too high, so that is unusable there. This light would've been infinitely better if there were four simple changes to it:1) make it a two-battery light, but keep the power (lumens) the same, so you don't have to swap out the batteries as frequently -- that's a major pain when trying to work to save a lost person before they die, and you have to keep stopping to swap out batteries frequently.2) either make the mount so you can quickly and easily remove the light to swap out the batteries, or change the light design so you can swap out the batteries while it's still mounted to the arc rail.3) fix the tolerances on the mount so it can be slid into the arc rail more easily, before you cinch down the alien screws to hold it in place. And 4)... make the 360 deg rotation with more adjustments, so that it's actually useful. As it stands right now, I cannot and do not recommend this light, and would strongly recommend you look for other options.

Great light
Took a little work getting it into my balistic helmet but works great.

Father and I love this light!
My dad and I have been looking for a light that is easily rotated and we finally found one that is worth the price. It’s lightweight and has 10 different modes.1 - Blinking red light2 - Solid red light3-7 - Varying white light levels8 - Fast strobe (white) [press both buttons quickly]9 - Slow blinking (white) [hold both for about 2 seconds]10 - Fast blinking (white) [hold both till it starts flashing]The battery being chargeable via cord and not a wall mount just add more to why I like it. Only thing I would say about it is (obviously) don’t pick up your helmet by the flashlight or you’ll have the light come out of the rail. Hope this helps!
