Works well with Resmed Airsense 10 and Energizer 320 Portable Power Supply
I bought this to use with my Energizer 320wh portable power supply, it works great for that purpose. With the humidifier and heated hose both turned off, the power supply shows the CPAP pulls about 4 watts when not inhaling, and about 10 watts when inhaling. It shows about 40 hours of battery life so the CPAP should run for a few nights at least, if that indicator is accurate. Some prior reviews mentioned the connector being too loose or wobbly, on my Airsense S10 the connector into the CPAP machine fits fine, but the 12V connector at the other end of the adapter which goes into the cigarette lighter type socket on the portable power supply does appear to be a bit too small, it can be moved from side to side quite a bit and will move to an angle enough that it loses the power connection and the CPAP shuts off.The cigarette lighter plug connection fits very tightly into the portable power supply and I don't think it will come out unless it's bumped pretty firmly, but it definitely is a bit smaller than it should be and does wobble around if you push on it hard enough.Still, it seems tight enough from the spring connectors on the outside of the plug that it will stay in place and I'm not concerned about it coming loose during the night. Otherwise, everything else is excellent, the adapter works great (although I tested only for about 5 minutes) and it's a compact enough size to fit in my CPAP carry bag front pocket easily, along with the 120V power supply and a spare extension cord.As a side note, when I turned on the built-in AC inverter in my Energizer power supply to plug in the factory supplied Resmed AC (wall plug) power supply, the remaining battery indicator on the portable power supply dropped from 60 hours to 30 hours, so running the CPAP using the factory Resmed AC wall cord on the portable power supply will definitely drain the battery more quickly than if you turn off the AC output on the power supply and use this 12V DC to 24V DC adapter to run the CPAP machine. It's more efficient to convert 12V DC from the internal battery in the portable power supply to 24V DC using this adapter to run the CPAP machine, than it is to convert 12V DC from the power supply internal battery into 120V AC using the power supply's built in inverter, then plug the Resmed 120V power supply into the AC plug on the power supply which converts the 120V AC output back down to 24V DC. All that converting up and then back down again consumes a lot of energy and the battery in the portable power supply won't last nearly as long as if you run your CPAP using this cigarette lighter plug adapter, it's much more efficient that way. Plus, you now have a way to power your CPAP in your car if you ever need to, or on an RV or anywhere else where only a 12V cigarette lighter plug is available but no wall AC plug is available! This is a great little adapter and the price is much more reasonable than some of the other brands I have seen for sale. I am very happy with it overall, in spite of the cigarette lighter plug being a little wobbly feeling. That's minor overall, and I think you can get a rubber ring to slip over the plug and make it larger so it won't wobble so much, but it doesn't appear to be enough of an issue since it fits so tightly so I'm not going to do anything about it, it works fine as it is.

Excellent with solar system
Our new address has frequent power loss. instead of a commercial cpap backup, I bought this and a 100 AH 12 volt LifeP04 battery. Works like a charm, and without humidifier or heat, it draws 5% or less from the battery per night. I am very happy with how well that works. Then I added a 100w solar panel with a pwm charger.. that increases the battery charge about +20% per day of sunshine.End result is a totally solar cpap battery that will last a VERY long life (only cycle 5% of capacity per day) and will charge itself from the sun.The system might be a bit overbuilt, but that's not hurting my feelings at all.follow up: running my airsense 10 without heat or humidity, battery still shows 100% after a full night of cpap usage. it's been close to a month and the battery cycle counter still shows zero.this is definitely overbuilt as a full time cpap power supply, and I could not be happier with that.

Works in my RV
ResMed 10 user..... My RV did not have a 12v cigarette plug next to the bed however I had a USB jack there. I took the USB jack out and made a custom wall plate that had a cigarette lighter plug and the USB port together. ( USB charge ports run on 12v ) The setup works perfect both boon-docking and hooked to shore power.

Works Like a Champ!
Best purchase for my ResMed Airsense 10 ever! I ordered this and a 300w solar generator to go camping - I can get at least 5, and probably 6 nights out of one charge if I'm not using the heated tube or humidity. It's a very efficient power supply compared to using a 120v power supply for going off grid...

Died after only 4 hours of use!
I bought this a few months ago intending to use it with a solar powered battery unit for hurricane season, and decided to try it out recently to gauge how much power is drawn in a single night of use in comparison to the regular AC plug. It died on the first use after running for only 4 hours. The battery's DC port works fine with other devices, and I plugged this adapter into the ports of 2 cars to confirm it's dead. I should have tested it immediately after receipt, now I've got a paperweight. Don't buy this item if you expect to have to rely on it.
