Excellent Sharpener
This is a fantastic tool and a great time saver. Set up instructions could have been a little more clear with the "bone shaped" piece. Otherwise, it's great. Easy to get different angles but switching out the screws.

Expensive for what it is, but also worth it in the long run
So I have been using a 12” sanding wheel to sharpen my tungsten tips for the last few years and finally decided to get one of these Dremel type sharpeners so I could have more consistent angle on my tips. Here is what I have decided after sharpening about 200 tips.PRO: you get exactly the same angle every time. It’s pretty fast. The included grinding wheels will probably sharpen at least 200 tips per side before needing replaced (I’m still using the first side of the first wheel at about that count and don’t plan to flip it any time soon). Having the same angle every time makes my welds more consistent. The smoothness of the grind is better and so it makes the arc better in my opinion. My tips seem to be lasting a lot longer as a result of the better grind finish so I spend less time sharpening and more time welding.CONS: Damn these things are expensive for what they are but they are ALL around the same price so there doesn’t seem to be any deals to be had out there. You can only sharpen a piece that is about 1.5” or longer. This can be a problem if, like me, you are using a very short torch head and welding in tight access areas a lot. I use my tips until they get pretty short because I weld race car chassis and have to get in really tight places.

Works perfectly and no mess
This is an excellent product and works perfectly. Produces a very fine point. And the biggest plus, it doesn't create the big mess that a grinder does. As a beginning TIG welder this is probably my most useful accessory.

Wow the motor is better than a Dremel and you get a precise grind every time.
Best price, all metal parts for the grind head

Junk!
This is junk! Don’t waste your money! The disk wears out a spot in seconds. Haven’t completed a sharpening not one. It would take 24 disks to sharpen one tungsten! I wished i haded bought it!

DOA
I just went to use this for the first time. Rotary tool is Dead on Arrival! I shouldn't have let it sit around for six weeks before turning it on. I was traveling for the past month. Sharpener part looks to be made well, can’t vouch for how it works though...TOOL IS DEAD...Since I couldn’t return it, I took it a part. There seemed to be one contact that was mot installed properly and the wire was not connected / soldered. Other thanthat it looked pretty well made. I dont have a soldering iron to correct.Update: soldered and reassembled, works well. Happy with it for hobby use. I’ve sharpened about 30 tungsten so far.

Pricey But...
I liked the simplicity of this tungsten sharpener and the number of diamond disk included, but it is a bit pricey for the type of components in the tool. However, in comparison to other competing products the price is acceptable if it holds up over the long run. So far, I have used it for a few weeks and it seems ok. I did buy some additional diamond disk from another Amazon source, as I anticipate the disk will wear fairly quickly given the hardness of the tungsten and the very thin nature of the disks. A few additional observations, the brass inserts are very tight which keeps the angle very precise, but if the tungsten picks up any oxidation and needs resharpening, the electrode can be difficult to insert also you are limited to only one degree of angle for each size of tungsten.I must admit my reservation regarding price is moderated by the highly convenient access to resharpening provided by this tool. I keep it adjacent to my welding bench and can resharpen without getting up.
