Safe for my feral cat
I bought this because my feral cat kept coming back home beat up and he howls to go back outside. It fits snug against a window and he goes outside whenever he wants now. He tried to escape at first and then gave up. He still howls and wants to go outside so this catio did not solve that for me. Made of quality materials just wish the last zip and grommet weren't under so much unnecessary tension.

Wow, just wow
I'm honestly impressed at how badly constructed this product was, and yet after spending hours figuring out just how to make it usable, I'm too worn and beat down to even disassemble it for a refund.MAJOR ISSUES WITH MY UNIT:1) Pictures in provided instructions do not line up with the actual pieces. In fact, the further you get into construction, the less the manual actually helps. Once you run into a few unique defects, you're basically completely off track and are freestyling it in putting it together. I first noticed this when putting the first 4 bars together to make up the base of the product. In the pictures, it appears as though the fastening hooks were welded onto the wrong side of the bar on one of the 4 sides. It ended up working out, but I'm still not sure if that side is correct or not. Because some of the bars have plates welded on, there is just no other way to put these 4 bars together because of those plates.2) There is a set of bars that form a Z-shape. They are installed in the middle of the product that is intended to hold up the 3 internal platforms. It's supposed to connect at 3 separate locations to the outer framework and be screwed in at each. However, there was no place to screw in the top one. This is because the product was manufactured incorrectly and the hole was punched on the wrong side of that bar, so there's no actual place to thread a screw through. The best I could do was try to bond the bars together at that spot with a powerful adhesive.3) On the internal piece, the three plastic platforms really require some intense force to screw in. The plastic on each is slightly warped and makes it so the holes no longer line up with the bars they're supposed to thread into. You really have to exercise your will to get these things threaded and locked in.3) The netting itself... It feels like it's too short for how they want you to fasten it to the bottom hooks. You're supposed to pull the net over the bottom bars and loop it around secure it onto the hooks via the metal rings on the bottom of the mesh. It was just completely impossible to pull the mesh hard enough to secure the rings onto hooks on all 4 sides, specifically at the corners. I had to stop trying this way because the metal ring was starting to tear away from the actual fabric it was seated into, and I could hear and feel the mesh netting beginning to strain. Not to mention I think that amount of pressure would probably just rip one of the zippers apart. However, leaving the corners unhooked would leave the mesh essentially open and passable by the animal inside at every corner of the cage, so I had to use zip ties to create a bridge between the hooks and metal rings and fasten the mesh onto the base.Honestly, if you get this thing together and in a state of usability, you deserve an award. This feels like it's a product created by all of the students who ever failed math class. At no point in its' construction did I feel like pieces fit together naturally or seamlessly. Every step of the way was a struggle, despite literally every single bar being alphabetically labeled. At some point you're just going to come across a piece where the hole was drilled on the wrong side, or the fastening bar was welded on the wrong side, and it's totally on you as the customer to figure out how to circumvent the defect when you get to it.

I like it!
Fairly easy to put together. I did look at actual pictures to determine what direction the hooks go. It is light weight and can be moved around the yard. We will see if this satisfies her urge to bolt out of the house!

Easy project. Overall, Good product.
Catio was fairly easy to assemble. Having trouble w the outer cover fitting too tightly. I can't fully close the bottom entry flap for fear it will tear screen or ruin the zipper. But, it's very sturdy & the cats are happy. 😻

Wrong pieces! C'mon
I was not able to assemble the base with the pieces provided. It's unbelievably frustrating to get a product that you are excited about ... only to find that it is impossible to assemble. I spent an hour trying to figure out out, thinking that the pieces may have just been mislabeled, but no. What a waist of time. I hope this company can make it right. I don't think I want this specific product anymore tho.UPDATE: Aosom was great to work with & sent us another product to see if between the two products we could get the pieces to work. Unfortunately, the pieces were different but still not correct. They immediately refunded our $$ & asked us to just donate the product. Most of the product seems fine accept the base, so we are sending it back to them since they were great to work with. Maybe they can recycle the rest of the parts. Company's customer service gets 5 stars ... the product 2 ... sorry guys!

Cheap material
Had this product for one summer and the top part dried out and rotted. The entire roof of the cover fall apart very upsetting to me and my cat as he loved getting inside.

Read instructions carefully.
Liked: Finished product fit together well. Dislike: When putting product together I needed a third hand. If you try to put it together yourself you’d be fighting with it.

Poorly constructed and bad instructions
While the concept is good, the execution is poor. The instructions are very unclear, the hooks on one of the bottom bars were welded on the wrong side and the holes don't line up. It is not very sturdy and any cat could push out the netting on the bottom and escape. Now that I finally got it all put together, it's not worth taking apart to return it. It'll do for now till my dogs are used to my kitten and then it will go in the trash.
