Good read
Better wisdom comes from continued practice. Well worth the year it took to get through what lies within the words as well as the daily practice.

daily inspirations
This book is small so I can easily throw it in my backpack. It has daily quotes from Native Americans. And it also lists some historical dates and what happened on those dates. Easy to read because of its daily calendar format.

Native American history
I liked this book a lot because it’s a daily read with words spoken by tribal members. Very enlightening, giving credit where it’s due.

Outstanding book of daily reflections
After a one week visit to Cherokee NC, I have been using this book daily as a morning reflection. I find it both inspiring and informative about native American culture and spirituality, so often ignored or belittled by many Americans. The only lack in the book, in my opinion, is brief accounts of violence among the Native Americans, both before being "discovered" by the European colonists and in contact with them. The majority of the fine book seems to protray our native American brothers and sisters as 'noble savages, pure, untainted and peace loving. I find little mention of inter-tribal hostility.
