I have been using my 17" HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop for 8 years, and it is my third time changing my laptop battery. I actually still like using this laptop. (I am also using HP OMEN 17" laptop for the work and some high-end gaming, but the durability of OMEN is not better than Pavilion.)Anyway, I ordered the battery from here, and it fitted well. I was really satisfied until I found that the power capacity of this product is different than the previous one.This battery is 2,600mAh with 14.8 Vdc, and the official HP Pavilion battery is 3,030 mAh with 17.4 Vdc.I am not saying that this product is not legit. This product works well. I checked the charging condition, safety and durability, and I am certain this product will work for your laptop.But you need to know that lower power capacity battery may have a chance to be depleted faster. Again, this battery will definitely work for HP Pavilion 17" laptop. However, the power capacity is lower than the official product, so there might be a chance to be depleted faster.

Great replacement battery for my HP laptopFit exactly like stated works well I keep my laptop plugged in most of the time but it’s when it’s needed to be portable. Battery holds charge fine.

I just received it so it is rather difficult to rate something so new. The price was great and it was very easy to install.

This replacement battery worked well in my older HP laptop for a little over six months, but now it's beginning to give out -- shows incorrect remaining time to the laptop, and is not holding charge as long.
