Works as soon as batteries in
Batteries leaked in our old remote, so we tried getting a new one over a new dvd player. Shipped quickly . Didn't need to do anything besides adding batteries to make new remote work with player. Make sure device is on list and should be good. So glad we tried.

What No Mute
well it turns on the TV but no mute, and most of the options( BUTTONS) do not work for our Sony TV the up and down selector does not work . Do not have a DVD play just TV ..
