Love this knife
I use this knife on duty and it has exceeded my expectations as an LEO. Good hold, excellent edge retention, firm strength, good length, it ticks all my needs and fits well in knife pockets on duty pants. I have about 20 knives and while it's not the most expensive, it's a favorite.

Great knife at a great price
I really like this knife. Bought it as an EDC, and though it's a bit large, which is fine, it sets fairly well in my pocket. The one-handed assisted open works great, with both deployment methods, thumb studs or flipper, and closes, one handed, just as easily. The large handle gives you plenty of grip space and feels comfortable in the hand. The Tanto style blade has a nice thickness to it, a bit of recurve, and nice wide serrations, and seems to hold it's edge very well. So, for the the price I'd say it's a good buy.

My daughter loves it!
Purchased as a present for my daughter. She is an equestrian and often needs a knife handy at the barn. I bought her this one as a replacement and she loves it.

A compelling reliable tactical blade
The Smith & Wesson M&P Special Ops knife offers a compelling package for those in need of a reliable tactical blade.Comfortable Handle: One of the standout features is the handle's design. It fits comfortably in the hand, providing a secure grip even in wet or slippery conditions. The ergonomics are on point, ensuring prolonged use without discomfort.Perfectly Balanced: The knife's balance is impeccable, enhancing the control you have over the blade whether you're performing detailed tasks or heavy-duty cutting. This balance contributes significantly to the knife's overall feel and performance.Effective Assisted Opening: From the top, the assisted opening mechanism is swift and smooth, making deployment of the blade quick and reliable when needed. This feature is particularly appreciated in scenarios where speed is of the essence. However, there's a notable caveat:Stiff Action: While the assisted opening works well when initiated from the top, attempting to open the knife with just the thumb proves to be quite challenging. The action is too stiff, requiring more force than one might expect, which can be a hindrance in situations where fine motor skills or quick access are necessary. In conclusion, the Smith & Wesson M&P Special Ops knife is a strong contender for those looking for a well-balanced, comfortable-to-use tactical blade with an effective assisted opening feature. However, the stiff thumb action could be a deal-breaker for some, particularly if one-handed operation is a priority. Despite this, for its price point and quality, it's a knife that earns a solid recommendation with the caveat of its opening mechanism's stiffness.

Incredible value. Awesome everyday carry. This is a solid knife with some weight to it. The blade is sharp and has held up nicely to some abuse.
