Nicely packed and pretty sticky and stretchy
This came in a nice package so it would not get squished in shipping. The stuff was pretty stretchy also. It was not as stretchy as a different product I bought (XFasten Butyl Tape), but I would no hesitate to use this stuff if I had not bought the XFasten also. There are a lot of different choices out there, and I feel this is one of the products you can be comfortable with.

This stuff is very sticky (good) but it is also sticking to the release tape (not good)
Only time will tell how well this stuff holds up but initially it looks like it will provide a great seal under my RV roof vent. It is super sticky but I am also having a problem getting it to let go of the release tape (stuff that keeps the tape from becoming one big ball of putty). I have contacted the manufacturer to see if I am causing the problem or if they can determine the cause of the problem but no word back from them yet.The putty is gray in color. It is 1/8th of an inch thick and 3/4" wide so you may need to apply multiple layers depending on the unevenness of whatever you are trying to seal.

As good as real butyl!
As you may know the EPA doesn't like butyl tape for some reason. Finding rolls that aren't cut with clay or filler continues to be a large source of irritation to me. I don't think this is pure butyl, but whatever elastomers Alpha blends into it do a fantastic job of imitating its properties. I only wish they made it in black!

Poor product
30 second task turned into 3 hour ordeal because the tape sticks to the butyl.

Extremely hard to work with
Used this to repair a camper window leak. It was extremely hard to work with because the non- stick paper backing was extremely hard to pull off. Would never use again. Still haven't performed a leak test, but if it does leak, I'll look for an alternative option.
