First, for those of you looking, this wand does fit the Shark Rotator NV502, the pet hair one. The wand came completely assembled. All I had to do was remove the broken one. It was broken so nothing was locking it in any way. Then lock the new one in. Installation was roughly 30 seconds. This is an original part so there were no lineup problems or strange coloring. The vacuum looks just as it did last week and we are back to sucking up dog fur from furniture and cobwebs from ceilings. A tip for those who use this vacuum: I use the wand in this description with the upholstery brush attachment to vacuum dust from ceiling fan blades before I wipe them down. I chose a digital credit for no-fuss shipping and it came in about a week.

Our Shark Rotator vacuum has worked great ... except when the wand broke! Without it the vacuum was useless. It was a relief to learn that we could order just the part. I had some concern whether it would fit our "NV 505" model but hoped that the "500 series" description included that particular model. Though described as used, the part came in a sealed bag and appeared to be in "like new" condition. The vacuum is sucking up dirt, dust & lint again and all is good.

It will help with the wand retraction and replacement. But the new one did not come with the plastic piece that allows you to connect the hose to it as the original one did.

Came quickly and fit perfectly on the vacuum. Saved a couple hundred dollars not buying a new vacuum

it arrived quickly and in good order. No damage to package or item. I purchased the replacement wand because the original wand's upper detent clip, securing the wand handle, broke. The new tube perfectly took the handle, but when I went to attach the new wand to the vacuum, I found that the length of the lower collar is 1/16" too long. It will not secure to the vacuum. An easy fix with some sandpaper for convenience, but forty dollars it should fit as advertised.And, yes. I rechecked the model number on the data plate and yes they are the same.Thank you Amazon for making the return very easy.

fits my vacuum. It is an extension wand, but do not expect it to extend beyond what is shown.
