I'm impressed at the high quality of this tofu press, especially considering the very reasonable price. The materials feel top notch, and everything fits together perfectly.I used it for the first time tonight and it worked well. I can't say it worked perfectly because the tool and the chef work together as a team. It was my first experience, so I think I could have done better. It's hard to get a block of tofu out of an aseptic package intact, and as I usually do, I broke off a corner. Even though I replaced it, when I pressed the tofu block in this press, it (not surprisingly) pressed better on the non-broken side. On the broken side, it didn't compress as much, since the broken piece provided less resistance to the press.Another tip: when I put the tofu in the press, I immediately cranked the spring pressure all the way down. I ended up pressing the tofu for at least an hour. It certainly squeezed out a lot of liquid, but the tofu block was fractured in many places. The next time I use it, I will start by keeping the spring at the top and will compress it for 15 minutes or more, then slowly increase the spring pressure until it's all the way down, maybe for an hour or more. I suspect that slowly and gradually increasing the pressure will result in less fracturing.It really does remove a lot of liquid! My tofu block looked like it was half as thick.I think this is a great product, especially at this very reasonable price, and I'm happy with my purchase.

This is my first tofu press, so I didn't know what to expect, but I absolutely love it. No more hassle with water-filled pots and paper towels, and it presses tofu more firmly and evenly than I ever achieved. Our usual pack of tofu (19 oz 4 pre-cut pieces) fits perfectly without needing to cut it (just place tofu on the board before you put it into the box).

It does the job. The amount of water that gets extracted is insane. Great build and nice quality.There is no pressure on the bottom of the tofu. The lid has a removable plate with a spring coiled into the lid. This will pop off unexpectedly, so be careful when picking up. There are maximum and minimum positions for the pressure, but most groceries store blocks will fit.The tofu comes out restaurant quality. It's a bit bulky but it houses a lot of well engineered design that prevents the tofu from soaking in water again.

I love this press. I haven't made homemade tofu with it yet (since it's plastic, you'd likely have to wait a significant amount of time for everything to cool off so you don't melt/warp the press, but I don't know that for certain because I've never tried), but using it for pressing store-bought tofu it's awesome. I think I'll get another one once I start making tofu at home.

Easy to use. Easy to clean (dishwasher safe). Solid quality. We've used this press at least 20+ times (probably more) in the last several months and it's been a huge help. I'm glad someone on Reddit pointed me to it.

I finally have the kitchen appliance I've needed for years to help me integrate more tofu into my family's diet. With rising blood pressure and meat prices, I feel better and save a lot of money replacing 1/2 of traditional meat-sourced protein with tofu, but my family is brutal about it. I heard that pressing it first helps the texture, so I got this tofu press. I love that I can drain the block while continuing to keep it under pressure. And the extra lid is perfect for marinating after the block is pressed. I'm so happy I got the right press on the first try!

this product is as described, tested functionality and was as shown in video's, I give 5 stars for the fact that it is as promised, can't wait to use it, planning to later today.I recommend this item, for convienance, quality, style with extra lid also. and the price is great. should have found this first, instead of 2 other types that I can't even use now. Love the twist compression system knob. and the lift tray.

I got this as a gift for my stepmom as she has been pressing her tofu between two plates weighted by a cast iron for years. She loves this tofu presser. She said it works faster than pressing between two plates, and also allows her to press out more liquid if she would like. It lets her set the press to exactly the thickness that she would like to press more or less liquid out. And it is easy to clean.
