A great product.
Bought a pair of these for a server rack and they work great. Mounting the rails takes a bit of time, but other than that setup was simple. Make sure to remove the battery before placing the case in the rack: it makes the case only about 25 lbs versus almost 100 lbs with the battery.Big improvement in this model: no longer has screws to anchor the battery in the case. Everything is toolless now (minus install). Also, the display shows all kinds of good information: watt draw, amp draw, % usage, runtime, etc.Hopefully it stands the test of time!

DOA; did not include network card
Item arrived with bent rack ears (minor issue), no network card (description states with network card) and not functioning - the UPS states the battery is at 100% but when entering self-test, it reports "self-test refused". On connecting to a server load, this is reported as 10% load and a nice long run time is estimated (I think about 30 mins). However if line power is disconnected, the UPS shuts down within 10 seconds - it only has one real job and it fails.Still waiting for the vendor to get back to me. Amazon originally offered a partial refund which wasn't a satisfactory option

Great product.
I have being using APC products over 10 year. I should say that so far I am very happy with quality of this band. I have purchased this item for one of my friends to protect a full server cabinet with 1 Dell T320 server + LCD monitor, 1 music amplifier, 1 smart radio, 1 cisco gigabit switch (26 port), 1 DSL modem, 1 phone switching terminal, 1 cisco 8 port hub, and a set of 4 fans for cabinet. So for this product doing go job of protecting these equipment.Strongly suggested!

Network card included makes this a great value
We have 11 remote locations and all have at least one server 2 Cicso POE switches and other equipment. We use APC Infrastruxure Manager and needed a good value UPS that would allow monitoring via IM. This is it. Love the display ( our existing APC UPS' did not have one) , though menu navigation can be a challenge first couple of times through ( of course the web interface is the best way). Also, you don't have to own a IM appliance & software to monitor, you can do it via the web interface. So, do your runtime needs calculations and if this has your power requirement met you are good to to go.By the way, I have ordered 14 since January. Each of my sites gets two for redundantly. Some of the older UPS' just got new batteries. Speaking of batteries - ordered 33 from Amazon, but beware many have a 5 per 7 days ordering restriction. That is a pain.

Worked For a While
This has been in service at my home for only a couple years mostly protecting my network devices and PCs so virtually no load. However, a while back it started giving errors that it needs the battery replaced which seems odd that it would need it so soon but even that aside, it told me of the problem by loudly beeping which it does at all hours for minutes at a time. When it was working it was great and kept me online during a couple momentary power service "blinks" (otherwise no actual outages) but for what it cost I really expected a far longer battery life! I tried to contact APC's tech support and, being virtually deaf, I require online support but it seemed non-existent.

Bought this as a replacement
Bought this as a replacement for another APC 3000VA Unit that had been doing its thing for 5+ years. The LCD display provides far more info than the old units, which just had indicator lights. The network card was simple enough to set up--I wouldn't recommend using the APC software though, as I couldn't get it to work. Scheduled diagnostics with an emailed report help give peace of mind. Temperature probe was included, an unexpected bonus. My only complaint is that this unit has a L5 twist-lock type outlet where the old units had 2 typical outlets, and so reduced the number of normal devices that can be plugged in. I don't see this listed anywhere in the description, and there were no pictures of the back of the unit.So overall a great product, just wish the description was more clear as to what types of plugs the product supports.

Works great
When I ordered I did not notice that this needs to plug into a 30amp outlet, but not a big deal I went ahead and installed the required power outlets and new dedicated fuse. Working great.

This equipment was supposed to be used in a quiet ...
This equipment was supposed to be used in a quiet studio setting. Unfortunately, the fan on this unit runs all the time even when the batteries are fully charged, no load on the unit, and the unit's temperature is 24 degrees Celsius. The unit is constantly drawing power even when it's off and nothing is connected to it (even in Green mode). I contacted the inept APC support he suggested that I should buy a lower end 750W unit and use this one for other purposes.
