If you like black olives, this is the way to buy them. They are wonderful. I broke the large jug down into 16-oz mason jars, added garlic, lemon, and EVOO (I don't really like the vinegar taste). I shared one with a friend; the rest are for us. Yum!

Great olives! Tastes good. Plastic container great (it does not break in shipping). We have purchased these several times and are very happy with them.

The olives are relatively small, which is the nature of klamata olives. These are salty, which I don't mind, but some might want to dilute the liquid with water to reduce the sodium. Getting the jar open was straightforward, but inside is a real challenge. They've placed a white plastic screen cup into the jar, to push the olives below the liquid while in shipment. Getting that white plastic inverted basket out of the jar is a major challenge. Eventually I was able, using a butter knife, to get one side partially lifted, so I could fold it and pull it out. They need to rethink that packaging. I won't buy again simply because spending 15 minutes wrestling with a jar of olives, with liquid splashing onto the counter, is not wonderful. They could have accomplished the same result without creating that problematic barrier.

Roland is a quality foodservice provider, and the olives were exactly what I was looking for: plump, juicy, in a brine that is salty but not overpowering. I dd find a pit in the first dozen or so I tried, so be careful.Also, the container! I've got a bit of arthritis in my hands and found it impossible to unscrew the very tight lid. The solution is to use a long spoon or other kitchen implement as a lever: put it under the strip of plastic spanning the lid, and twist. Then use a chef's knife to pry out the plastic basket holding down the olives in their brine. They really do want you to earn these treats!

I've purchased this item in the past. This one leaked all over the inside of the box. Since it's olives, this was not a heart stopping occurance; however, since it was shipped together with a toxic item, there are some concerns.
