Uncle Goose Russian Blocks - Made in The USA

I bought this for my 1-year old daughter to start introducing her to Russian letters (we are trying to raise her bilingual). So far she enjoys stacking the blocks and looking at animal pictures on the sides. We actually have these blocks in English version as well, and are very happy with the quality of both sets! These make an excellent gift that will last for ages.

Great quality! I love Uncle Goose blocks. They have so many options and I think they make a lovely gift. They come in a box and I wish they included some sort of second storage option. Perhaps a bag to hold all the blocks in.

It seems that minimal effort was made in regard to the information (letters and animal images) on the cubes. Firstly, there are 32 cubes instead of 33 for Russian language. Secondly, images are a total mess and unsystematic. There many images of animals starting with Russian "C" or "M" or "K" and none with many others. Any literate Russian could give you a few examples of animals name on almost each letter. There is even a sea lion - Морской лев - considering that there are already 5 cubes starting with the letter "M". And finally, one caption is ignorant: under the image of a fox it says - лиса, instead of лисица. Лиса is fox-fur.Not satisfied with quality neither. One cube edge had terrible barbs that will become unambiguously splinters in a child's hand.

There is a very happy one year old stacking and playing as I type. I would absolutely buy from this company again.

These blocks are so beautiful and really wonderfully made. I use them to practice my spelling and I just love them. My only complaint would be that there seems to be some 3 and з confusion in the way they are presented on the blocks. I would just double check that before making the next set.

A friend and her family speak Russian and now her 2 year old is growing up bilingual. Daddy is also learning. Now they have visuals. Beautifully boxed. Non-toxic. The whole family thought they were the best gift ever. I'm pleased to have found these blocks.

High quality, and have held up through toddler abuse for over a year. Plan to use with our second child.
