This is a great smart phone tripod. It fits every smart phone I've had in the past 5 years. It grips the phone great, and the bendable legs are really great, because you can position a camera in a lot of different ways. It's also great to hold the camera with, like a handle, keeping your hands away from the microphone. Perfect little device, simple and works perfect. I highly recommend this piece of equipment for your smartphone filming needs.

The media could not be loaded. Just picked up this stand for shooting iphone content. Overall it feels very heavy duty. It's flexible and doesn't feel too light or like it's going to break. The slide to open the mount was a little stiff at first, but now it's working smoothly. Lets see how this stands the test of time. Overall a solid item and I am happy with my purchase.

[Update below.]I have owned this for two months and used it maybe a dozen times, lightly. I needed a tripod to stand on a table while my daughter and I filmed stopmotion videos. Though I did have plans to, I never used the tripod to hold on to odd surfaces (trees, railing, etc.), only as a simple tripod, only moving the legs in and out as needed to adjust height. Then, this morning the back leg just popped off while adjusting the leg back to angle the screen up.It appears that there is no warranty, and I'll be honest, I'm mad. I paid considerably extra for this product on the grounds that it was superior to its competitors. I can only imagine how short its lifespan would have been if I had used it as advertised (wrapping legs around odd objects). Ironically, had I been more aggressive with it, I coulda got my money back when it was still covered by Amazon.UPDATE:Although this Amazon page lists the warranty for this tripod as "N/A", I contacted Joby and learned that it IS warrantied. I attached my pic and proof of purchase and they immediately sent me a new one. I'm quite pleased with their customer service, and aside from the leg falling off, it is a nice tripod with fairly stiff legs for holding and grabbing. I should also say that I LOVE the sturdy camera holder that comes with this tripod, and I like that it rotates for portrait and landscape views. I am still a bit worried about the longevity of the replacement tripod, but it is nice while it lasts.

I have always liked the gorilla pod products. Just due to their uniquness and the ability to be wrapped around nearly anything to get the perfect shot. the one issue that I have with this product are that the individual sections of each arm easily pop out of socket. Some of them are really loose and move with ease, and others are so tight that they don't want to move. So some either feel stuck, and others feel like they aren't going to hold if you wrap the arms of the tripod around anything. While I'm disappointed in the quality, its still worth the price that I had paid for the item.

I bought the "top rated/recommended" cell phone tripod less than 2 months ago, and one of the cheap plastic clips that secures the actual phone snapped. Useless.
