Q: why is it listed for twice the msrp?

Wow, you asked this question at the end of 2020? People have been trying to buy this card 4 months after your question for, "above msrp". You're seeing a 3rd party seller who can double the price on ebay and sometimes here too because people are desperate. This is one of the most popular gpu's that comes onto Amazon, but there might be 1-2 per day, and it could be any minute out of the 24 hours. Sometimes there's none and sometimes 5 at random times. If you have a notification tool that tells you when the card is normal price, you can't even add it to your cart before someone else buys it, trust me, i've tried. A lot. Most people are giving in. This is a fantastic card though. Runs quick, strong, silent, and cool. It's a great mix of "price" and performance.

Of a sort. It's a bit like a soul, but instead of the bright divine spark you're accustomed to, it's a thick viscous substance that's a sort of reddish purple, but so dark that you could easily mistake it for pure black, like old engine oil.

I originally bought this to fit in a Harbor Freight waterproof case (11"x17"x6")and it barely fits. I had set back my Micro ITX board about 1" from the the side. It is about 1" longer than the length of my power supply (6") and motherboard (6.75"). With the motherboard and 1/4" standoffs it hits the top of the case at a little over 6" and I did have to get 2 - 180 degree 8 pin power adapters. The original plan was to use 4 thermoelectric plates with 4-40mm external fans with 40mm x 40mm x 20mm heat sinks and two 160mm x 60mm x 10mm with 4-80mmx10mm fans. Unfortunately due to the size of the card I was not able to even fit the fans on the heat sinks. I was using was M.2 NVME drives for the storage but when I placed the power supply vertically it was the same height as the card with room for 2 - 2.5" drives. I thought of using a riser to change the position of the card but due to the width it would not allow for enough fan clearance for the power supply and the shortest CPU cooler I could find. So air cooled the smallest area is 12"x17"x6". You can go water cooled on the processor and mount the radiator externally and gain maybe an inch in height.
