Bought this for my mom who uses a walker and has vertigo issues. She loves that there are so many pockets that she can easily store her cell, glasses, and anything else. It's especially handy when she needs to get up in the middle of the night - no fumbling for glasses to get to the bathroom!The movable section is the best part. When there's no pressure on it, the part will swing easily for her. When she leans on it, the rubber grip (similar to the grip for crutches or bigger canes) stays in place on the floor (must note: hardwood). Think of it as similar to the walkers without wheels - you move it a bit, lean on it to walk a bit, and move again. She's much more confident.

Four are currently being used in our family to assist in getting in and out of bed and to prevent falling out of bed. It is thebest device we have found for this purpose. One device had the wrong part and the company immediately sent a replacement.

I bought this for my father who is 86 years old and weighs over 250 pounds. He's slipped off the bed a couple times and is not able to get himself back up. Not good! I chose this model because it's got 3 legs on the ground, not just tucked up under the mattress like most. The third leg and the arm that attaches it to the rail makes getting off and on the bed much safer. The rail keeps him from rolling out of bed and gives him a hand grip to pull himself up.It works with an adjustable bed at the head end because the feet don't have to touch the ground to still be effective. I did have to raise his bed a bit because even the lowest setting was too tall. Dad loves this thing and he thanks me every day since I installed it. He loves the pockets as he was forever dropping the bed remote, tv remote, light remote, his glasses. He even uses it to stow his wallet and handkerchief. His night stand now isn't cluttered with remotes that get knocked off when searching for one in the dark.It's very well constructed and the fit/finish are top notch. I was beginning to think I would have to find a residential home that has strong attendants for Dad as I am not able to safely pick him back up if falls like that again. This will allow him to stay living with me for a bit longer.

Although there were parts of this that were hard to put together (the diagrams were difficult for me to understand), I must applaud the finished product. It took two sturdy men, however, to lift our king-size mattress to get the strap hooked up over the foundation, but once accomplished, and the legs lengthed properly, I couldn't be more pleased. My husband now can safely pull himself up to sitting position and exit the bed. He loves the pivoting cane. He says it helps him so much. He also said he's glad we bought the model with the cane rather than without. The pouch is an added bonus. He keeps a flashlight in one pocket for those "midnight trips". My daughter, an geriatric occupational therapist, recommended that we get a bed cane and I'm glad she did. She didn't specify which one; left the choice up to us. This one seemed the sturdiest, had good reviews, a good company reputation, and a reasonable price for what it offered. We are both well pleased with our purchase. Another "find" to keep my elderly husband a little more independent.

Bought this for my Mom when she broke her hip. Makes it so much easier for her to get herself into and out of bed. It even has pockets so that she could put her eyeglasses and tissue packet in there. Her home health care worker even asked for the product information so that she could recommend this type of product to her other patients.

This is a must have for my elderly mother. She has problems getting I. And out of bed. I picked this on because of the extra arm it has. That made a huge difference. Mom has to stand for a few seconds when getting out of bed for her BP to adjust. The helps her steady herself. She doesn’t know what she’s do without this. It’s sturdy. It’s easy to install. No complaints at all

This bed support is easy to assemble and instal. It is height adjustable so it can be used with any height bed frame. It was also easy to position and has helped to improve the independent bed mobility for my 90+ year old grandfather. The mobility arm is a little smaller but really helps with the transition to standing from the bed or even to help as a guide to sit in the right position on the bed. It is also easy to move for changing the linens. It is a very solid and secure assistive device.

5 stars for pure function. This allows my disabled husband to easily get in and out of bed by himself. Gave 4 stars for teh questions asked because it feels wobbly, but if mounted correctly with the strap under the bed and around the frame it isn’t going anywhere. The swing out portion allows him to take a step away from the bed safety to his next level of support.
