A must own for the Wii U!
I never played any of the previous Pikmin games before this one and I always thought it was too childish. Oh how wrong was I!!I originally got this during Nintendo's Mario Kart promotion where purchase and registration with Club Nintendo allowed customers to choose from one of 5 games, so I also own this digitally. I started the game not expecting much and once you get past the first half hour, things get a whole lot interesting! The single player is very strong and replayability is very high, especially if you're an efficiency perfectionist. I knew had to get a physical copy after finishing the game, especially after this became a Nintendo Select because original copies were only available at outrageous pricesThe side missions are where I spent most my time because I had to platinum medal all of them, including the DLC missions. I never did get the platinum on a few levels, both single player and multiplayer. Multiplayer was an absolute thrill with my wife, who isn't into video games at all. What lured her in was the desire to efficiently accomplish everything with the cute little Pikmin before time ran out!If I had to play it all again, I would've done single player to learn the basics, did the side quests to master control of my Pikmin and orient myself to better multitasking, then finished up the single player as efficiently as possible. This is strategy gaming at its cutest and most lovable form and a must-have for any Nintendo aficionado!

Kill those Bulborbs!
I bought this game as an Easter gift for my 7 year old nephew. He found the Pikmin game my sister had bought him months ago and decided to play it one day and absolutely fell in love. He really wanted this one to try and I can definitely say it's gotten it's use since it arrived. I've played this game with him and honestly, it's a game the whole family can enjoy. I feel like it would probably difficult for most kids his age or younger but my nephew and niece are pretty skilled at video games. Even I get kind of confused on which Pikmin I'm supposed to be using but that's probably just because I don't play it like they do and I wasn't able to see the tutorials in game. It's a really nice game, too, because you can have a few people playing at a time. You can all help each other in the game and it promotes team work, which I REALLY LOVE! I think the names for the characters in this game are goofy and fun. Overall I just really like this game and think if there are any more that come out I wouldn't mind buying them for the family to play. I think this game has pretty awesome graphics for being a "kids" game. Just a really cool game!

Such a fun game! Interesting new Pikmin too
Such a fun game! Interesting new Pikmin too! I recommend taking your time because if you follow the story line you will finish the game rather quickly. I definitely recommend getting as much fruit as you can before you go to get the cosmic key drive, which is the last thing you do. That's the only reason I gave it 4 of 5 because of the length of the game.

Cant stop playing!
Im expanding my nintendo collection during 2020 quarantine and just recently got a Wii U. never played a Pikmin game before. I got this as one of those nintendo add on to my collection. started playing out of curiosity and after entire nights of non stop playing from dusk to dawn, I can say I love Pikmin. this is one of the best games I ever played. period. this made me order the two previous game and become a absolute Pikmin fan. absolutely recommended. play it even on 2020. don't wait for the game to be released on the switch. and even if its eventually re released, this is a must Wii U game! playing with the gamepad is super intuitive and super fun.

Family Favorite
This game has become a family favorite for my five year old son, and also his mother and father. :-) The story mode is great for one player and there are also multiplayer modes. The best multiplayer mode is bingo battle by far. It is impressive how they have made it so each board is a little different every time with which bad guys and items are are on it, and you can adjust for ability by changing the number of pikmin you start with (and if needed you can have the more experienced player not use cherries for the random bonus items). I do wish that you could play Bingo battle online. There are also three other multiplayer possibilities that are also single player if desired. This is one of my very favorite games for the Wii U. Money well spent.

What a wonderful game!
I never thought I would find a video game that would cause me to be sad when it ended. What a clever little game. I only wish for more. The idea is that Alphie and his crew mates have crashed on a planet in search of food. You have to find and save the crew mates and find food using the a bunch of little critters called Pikmin (or Pigmen as my 2 yr old calls them) whom you order to complete little tasks and fight for you when you encounter various monsters on your quest. It's a cute game with no gore. Full of problems to solve. My 7 year old son loved it, and so did I.
