love the newer flat footprint
These are great lights for the price. The newer flat profile is a plus over the older "par can" style.

Great quality, price, and performance!
I own four of these lights now. I use them for my band lighting when we play in bars and smaller venues. These are fantastic lights!Normally I use spring clamps to clip them to rafters to shine down on us during gigs but when there aren't any rafters you can use the brackets as a floor mount and have them shine up at you. They're light weight, super vibrant, and they don't get hot : ) in not a lighting expert so I'm not sure if this is the right terminology but these lights seem to have a more narrow and bright beam to them. Not light a spot light but also not like a flood. Because the beam is focused they look great shining down on us. The only drawback to this is that one light is only wide enough to shine on one person at let's say maybe 15 feet away so unless your drummer and or bass player is ugly enough to to keep them in the shadows you'll most likely need a light for each band member : )All in all, I'm giving thes lights five stars. I think the quality is great(I don't take good care of them). You can daisy chain a bunch of them together because each light has an outlet on the back side.I'll continue to buy more of them as cash flow dictates. One more thing, they're kind of cool to have around the house when I'm not gigging. You can light up a tree in the yard at night or just use them to accent certain rooms in the house if you're having a party. I choose to have my lights set to a slow fade cycle instead of a quick strobe setting but that's just me. I hope you buy one or more of these lights. You really won't be disappointed.

Quality device in a compact and efficient package.
I've used several different types of lighting and these are great at what they do. Besides the fact that they are DMX compatible, they are compact, bright, durable, and use SO much less power than conventional par cans. Besides that, they last forever, and they never get hot! Heck, they hardly even get warm. And once you factor in that you don't have to buy gels for them or mess with rigging to change the color, they make up for their seemingly high price. As someone who has performed under stage lights before, I can also tell you that you won't feel like you are under a heat lamp the whole time. And if you are using them with a DMX controller you can create just about any color you can imagine - not just the preset 7 colors available in stand alone mode. This is a great purchase for anyone looking to upgrade their lights or start a new rig.

It is exactly what it says it is.
If you are reading this than you may already know what you are looking for. This light, does exactly what it says it will and does it consistently over time. We (the Church) purchased 15 of these several years ago to replace the old cans we had. They are still working, they are used wireless (after purchasing necessary equipment). The only issue, we have had is fan noise. One of the lights makes noise when it is first fired up, but it goes away after just a minute or so. These are well worth the money.

Great for washes on a theater stage
I purchased these for my local community theater. They are very light weight, use a lot less energy than traditional PAR lights. They can be daisy chained for power and DMX. And, best of all we can dial in whatever color we want multiple times throughout a show. You’re not going to get a tight area focused like with a fresnell or ellipsoidal. But, you can get some pretty decent washes going with these. And, with the prices as reasonable as they are it’s easy to fill a few battens with these things.

SlimPar Review
These lights are great! I used to use the RainLED 56, but am transitioning to these. They are brighter, have richer colors, and are easier to store/transport. They also have a better clearance on the bottom to attach the DMX cables so you wont need a stand or anything. Overall great product. I have 6 now and plan to get 6 more to finish replacing my RainLED's(as I get more $$$, I'll get more lights...lol...). I'm an all around fan of Chauvet, not the top end stuff like Martin, but good for mobile DJs like me - they're a great bang for your buck!

DMX connector housing fails, this is the 3rd one I've bought.
I use 4 of these to light up a band. I store them in a large bag since they're mounting to a rack. The plastic where the DMX connections are in the back of the lamp are mounted on very thin plastic. With even slight pressure on the DMX connection, the plastic breaks, and the connection becomes faulty. This is the 2nd time it's happened to me, and it's the 3rd light I've bought for $99. If I didn't have $300 invested in the other 3 lamps I would replace them with a different manufacturer.Following up again 10/2024, now a 4th light has failed, this time the DMX connection just failed, it didn't break, but you need to wiggle the cable back and forth for it to work. I've tried multiple cables, no luck. I f you buy these lights, get the warranty!!
