Hr High Rate Agm Battery. Lead Acid 12v 9ah Replacement Battery. Includes F2

Arrived quickly, seemed well padded in Bubble wrap shipping container. Added to Tripplite LCD1500 UPS with another battery picked up a week earlier form this same supplier to get it back in operation and they charged up making the UPS happy and working. No particular issue with installing batteries in the UPS.

I bought this CSB HR1234WF2, 12V/9AHr, 34W, F2 style terminals, from Volt Depot. It is genuine, good quality. (I saw some other reviews saying non-genuine, but did not say who the seller was.). Customer service at Volt Depot is knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They helped me find this model battery for my application. Customer service representative Sarah’s expert advice was spot-on. She steered me to the best battery for my application. Sarah explained that I needed an “HR” battery. She explained, it means High Rate—can supply large amount power in short bursts, but cant take continuous discaharge/charge (“cycle”) over a long time period. This differs from Deep Cycle or General purpose sealed lead batteries. Deep cycle batteries can supply power over a longer time period...it can be “cycled” over a longer time period, but not as large power burst as the High Rate. She even asked about the tyoe of terminals, and sent me the converter F1 to F2. Before my conversation with Sarah of Volt Depot, I thought a 12V sealed lead acid battery was the same across brands and amp hours. Afterwards, I learned just how different a 12V battery can be, and how vitally important it is to match the battery rating to application—High Rate, Deep Cycle, Gerneral Purpose. I highly recommend contacting Volt Depot’s customer service to make sure you match the right battery to your application. You will be in expert care with Sarah. I will purchase again from Volt Depot because of Sarah’s expert and friendly help.

I originally blamed the batteries in my Cyber Power 1500AVRL UPS for measuring under 6V DC (even while wired into the powered UPS)). I said that when I disconnected batteries, the UPS battery connection measured 27VDC but since that was an open circuit measurement with no load, I was not 100% convinced. The batteries charge to full capacity in other situations so I have to blame the UPS charging circuits for allowing the batteries to drain down. It probably will result in a shorter life so I'll continue to use them in less critical applications. So far it's been 2 years so I have to give credit to the batteries for making it through the bad UPS.

I ordered a pair of these CSB HR1234W F2 batteries from AAA Security Depot USA. They arrived quickly, and reasonably packaged. Both cells appear to be genuine CSB cells. The factory markings indicate they were manufactured in the Philippines, with production dates from July 2017. When I received them, one still had a partial charge (12.6 volts) and the other appeared fully discharged (12.1 volts). I charged them both independently before installing them into an APC Smart UPS C1000. I performed a runtime discharge test using a ~420 watt pure resistive load (halogen work lamp). Schneider Electric specs this unit to run for 10.5 minutes with a 420 watt load. My test showed 9 minutes and 9 seconds before the inverter shut down. Not quite factory spec, but better than double the ~4.5 minutes I had with the original (two year old) cells.Overall, not bad for the money. I'm glad I received genuine CSB cells, and not some bait & switch. I wish the seller would perform a topping charge every three or four months, rather than allowing them to self-discharge on the shelf. Next time, I'll write ahead and confirm the batteries are fresh.

I bought this to replace a battery in my APC UPS. There were 2 connected together in my UPS, and APC wanted $100 for a new set. I removed both batteries from the UPC and tested them. One was still good, the other had a bad cell ands only 10 volts instead of 12. I bought one of these batteries and hooked it back together where the bad battery was, and my UPS is back working again. And for less than one fourth the cost of buying the set from APC. I also like the 3 year warranty, it is the longest I have seen. I have only been using this a few days, but it seems to be doing great, and with the warranty, I feel comfortable it will last.

I took a gamble on this product from all the positive reviews. I did read the 1 star reviews too and figured my chances of receiving a bad one was very slim. Well…I guess lighting stuck me - yup, got a bad one.Upon installing, I plugged into outlet with nothing connected. Generally it’s a day charge or so before fully charged. Well, 3 days later and it is literally just shy of 1/2 capacity still.I have no confidence in this product this seller offers. Very irritated this battery is junk.

I used this on an Helix 5 ice unit. After 4-5hrs of use I still had 75% battery life.
