Worked for a Lexus 1MZ-FE Harmonic Balancer (RX300)
Shade tree mechanic but I also work in aerospace so I've always appreciated having nice tools. Most of my tools are Snap-On, vintage Craftsman, and my pullers are Proto. This puller costs 3 times less than a similar Snap-On set. Using the supplied M8x1.25 90mm bolts threaded into the harmonic balancer, I was able to remove with ease. I put some Never-Seez NSBT-8N Nickel Anti-Seize on the shaft to make removal for the next guy/gal easier. As an aside, I made my own harmonic damper holder and reused/abused the included M8x1.25 90mm bolts so I could torque the craftshaft bolt (159 ft-lbs). This bent the bolts so I purchased some really nice 12.9 rated bolts from McMaster to replace them. The included bolts will work but it's nice having some heavy duty bolts instead of the no-name bolts included. The good news is the included main large puller bolt feels just as beefy as my Proto ones.

Worked fine, good for the DIY'er.
Used on my 6.5TD harmonic balancer. Pretty straight forward and easy to use, good price.

Broken
No replacement for broken adapter. The tool is universal but thin adapter. mine broke, now the rest of the tool is useless.

The right tool for the right job
There is NO WAY to press the harmonic balancer back on to your jeep yj/tj after a timing chain change without this bad boy. Best 50$ I ever spent (except for maybe the correct puller kit too). Makes easy work of a potential “hammer throwing “ event.

Great for a weekend warrior
Unit works and fits well. the only down fall is the threads aren't the strongest and after the first use had major thread wear. I lubricated the threads to complete the pull but i will be sending this unit back for a new one. If you plan to use this once in a blue moon i strongly suggest this tool for the price. As a professional I will need it to last a little longer and require tougher threads.

Garbage
Hot garbage. Failed the threads before getting the balancer 1/2 on. Bought a higher quality installer and the balancer went on easily. So it wasn't the balancer or the installer.

Finally... One that fits my 2002 Dodge Durango 4.7L!
I had been searching for a Harmonic Balancer Remover and Installer to fit my vehicle for a long time. Finally found ones that worked! The Lisle Puller (Lisle 51450 Harmonic Damper Pulley Puller) worked like a charm for the removal. This tool was the last thing I needed to get my 2002 Dodge Durango 4.7L engine up and running. When looking up what engines this tool can be used for, the Dodge's engine is technically a Chrysler engine.I was initially disappointed with this tool, because the M14 1.5 threaded rod (the fit for my engine) was too small. After analyzing the kit for a few, I recognized that most of the longer rods had M14 1.5 threads for the tightening nut. So, the M14 1.5 threaded portion of the longest rod (labeled M12 1.75) ended up being long enough to reach the threads of the crankshaft. To use the tool, you will need one wrench for the tightening nut and another for the end of the rod to keep it from spinning. This is the only tool that I have been able to find that will work on my Dodge Durango (and I'm assuming the similar years of the Dodge Dakota). Thanks to this tool, my Durango is finally up and running!!
