Don’t buy this. Your gonna hurt yourself.
I installed the monorim v2 ninebot max g30 front suspension yesterday.Advice for installation;1-watch a YouTube video.2-do not use the silver ring provided by monorim that is situated on the stem between the top of the suspension and the handle bar stem clasp. Use the original black rings.3-do not use the the main stem nut provided by monorim. Use the original.4-it is better to detach the top clasp from the top part of the shock absorber via the two bolts either side of the stem instead of unscrewing the top stem from the main shock absorber body. This way the top clasp is free to be seated and tightened correctly.I bought the monorim ninebot max fender adaptor in case the suspension didn’t come with one. After reviewing the positioning and depth of the fender with the fender adaptor attached and then doing the same without the adapter it turned out that the depth/height and positioning of the fender was better without the adapter attached.Although the fender adapter and the positioning for the fender on the suspension itself aren’t great fitting due to the awkward shape of the connection mould on the fender itself and the super soft sponge washer provided by monorim. When buying an upgrade for a specific model or even a model specific adapter to solve a known problem with the original design, You’d expect that all and any original pieces that are to be reused would be taken into consideration in shape and size. This is not the case. It’s almost as if the monorim suspension was designed by someone who didn’t want the front fender on at all.Once installed I took it for a test run. Just down the road, over small and slight potholes & speed bumps.I have to say, the difference in smoothness was 100% noticeable and far more of an enjoyable experience.However. I tested going down a curb. Not very fast. In fact I was barely doing 5mph.As soon as my front wheel touched the ground off the curb the suspension bottomed out and the fender made contact with the wheel and stopped dead.“This is a pretty big flaw” I thought to myself. But as long as I remember that any big drops are going to cause this I should be fine, it’s not as if I’ve installed the suspension to go mad and off-road with, I got it to make my journeys a little more comfortable. Which it does the job of.So I was on my way home.Going my normal route, normal speed, enjoying the new found smoothness of my ride until I pulled the brake at 18mph on a flat road, this forced the suspension to bottom out, the tire to make contact with the fender and the whole bloody scooter to stop dead in its tracks hurling me over the handle bars for a few meters and face first on to the tarmac. Now I can’t walk, now can’t work. Right elbow and knee are battered and I can barely stand on my left foot.My scooter that I’ve had for three months is scuffed to f@£k and my rear light is broken.I’m pretty sure that a design flaw like this should come with a warning. My scooter is now a death trap.I’m shocked that none of this information was relayed in the install video I watched by Nash.I would avoid buying this style of suspension if I were you. The cheaper dual shock absorber ones look like they were designed WITH the fender in mind.I would go for one of them.I’m going to try and find away to stop the shock absorber bottoming out. Something that should’ve been implemented in the design and or prototype phase.

It needs modification to fine-tune then will work as advertised.
Unfortunately there is play between the suspension and scooter frame introduced by the silver alluminium washer that is not designed to specifications. Also using the extra £20 mudguard aluminium adapter result in the tyre touching the mudguard then it scrapes untill you stop and manually adjust it. Untill the next small bump on the road everything works great.Approx 95kg using the hard spring as per instructions.Perhaps the new version will resolve everything...Obviously a huge improvement compared to no suspension but you are paying a premium and after all the hours it took to professionally install you expect it will work as advertised...Currently got to stop and constantly adjust. Perhaps getting a spare fender and modifying it will introduce more space between the tyre and fender.

DO NOT BUY
So bad, never again will I buy this. Missing some details like in the picture, if the original has it, there is a reason for it. When you install it it is not firm, it like a little bit loose and it doesnt matter how much you tighten it
