I use this indoors as a chicken playpen when there is a storm or I'm not home and don't want to leave my pet bantam chicken in the backyard chicken run unattended. I use dog potty pads to line the bottom and it's large enough that she has plenty of room to roam around and not feel confined. It pops open and folds up flat within 10 seconds. I would not trust her in this outside unattended though as I feel there might be room for her to escape in the center or it might blow away with the wind. Since I bought it strictly for indoors, that is not an issue with me and she has not escaped indoors.

My husband and I are duck parents and when we informed our flock that mom and dad had a Memorial Day Weekend bbq to attend, our 4 youngest lost their ducking s***t. The girls threatened to act out if we didn’t bring them, including various forms of bullying and acts of violence. Now if you’ve ever met or owned a duck, you would know that their fluffy appearance and cute disposition is merely a façade. Ducks are deceptively untrustworthy, master manipulators, and sanctimonious cheating thieves. If given the chance, these shifty water fowl will absolutely lie under oath to frame you for their own white collar crimes. They take joy in chipping away at your self worth and will slowly drive you into madness. So of course my husband and I had no choice but to take these threats seriously, forced to negotiate to their tiny terrorist demands. After all attempts to negotiate failed, we were left scrambling to find a way to diffuse this crisis. Well low and behold, the Amazon gods heard our cries, and our answered prayer arrived 16hrs later on our doorstep.It it extremely light weight to carry and easy to fold back into the original carry case. The half-vented sides allowed great airflow with the breeze. The girls the LOVED open bottom which allowed them to forage for bugs and seeds in the grass. Once inside, they had more than enough room for their water pool,Food dishes, and still had plenty of space post-nap zoomies. The stakes allowed us to secure the tent to the ground for safety worked great, even when the wind really seemed to pick up. The enclosed top gave us humans the confidence we needed to walk around the corner for mores beer without worrying about the cat trying any funny business. The zipper doors allow for easy access inside and were ok in size. In order to earn the love and respect of a duck, one must become the duck. Because this assimilation process is one of delicate skill and determination, I would have preferred a slightly larger top opening for my head, as i sat inside the enclosure with my terrorist dictators the whole day. (I’m 5’9” for reference). One downside is that there isn’t any shade capability, but we were lucky to have a spot in the yard to put the set up in half sun/half shade. It’s durable, easy to clean, portable, and reliable. Will it withstand a midwestern tornado or remain upright under the weight of a 36 yr old intoxicated male? No. But this product does exactly what it advertises and thats why 4 out out 4 ducks do recommend this product. 5 Stars.

Zippers came already broken, mesh is cheap and so is wire holding structure up. This won't last with any small animals and is a waste of my time and money. Zippers are so cheap that they were already broken upon opening the package. Item was shipped in the carrying case! Wasn't even in a box or mailer. Now I have to waste my time to ship this back and return.Update: Customer service reached out apologized and made it right.

I thought I was buying one with a bottom but purchased the wrong one. It’s not the best for indoor use. If getting one for indoor use, buy one with a bottom to keep pets in. I had to get a tarp for the bottom and sides.

I like that it is very light weight and pops open. They should have made it have rooms and or a allaze I side for play though I think. The windows were a dumb idea, there is no reason to have four openings for "windows", just gives pets more chances of getting out.I do NOT like that even after you stake it in the ground there is still a big enuf hole for animals to escape! I do NOT like the fact I can not just let my animals play in this while I work in the yard because I have to watch their every move so they don't get out. I also do NOT like the zippers! They are the cheapest zippers I have ever seen and don't even stay zipped, once again giving my fur babies yet ANOTHER chance of getting out! Definitely would NOT recommend buying!!!!

One of our hens was injured by a neighbor's dog. She's been inside our shed recovering but was missing the outdoors. This was a ideal solution. It is roomy and light. It is simple and quick to set up. I received an email that if the zippers appear broken, to simply run them all the way across and the zipper would automatically fix itself. Indeed, the zippers appeared half way off track, so I did as the seller instructed and voila!, the zippers worked perfectly. We did not leave the hen unattended because if the dog was loose he would easily be able to get to her. Unfortunately, we chose to leave the playpen set up overnight for use the next day. The dog destroyed it. Talking to these neighbors is pointless. I will purchase again and be smart enough to take it down every day after use. I can see this item being a great transition play yard for chicks, duckling, any small animal really. I highly recommend it.

My 15 y.o. indoor cat likes to go outside to eat some grass and check out the birds/squirrels. Even though my yard is fenced in, I take him on a leash because he's not very "streetwise" and it's annoying. I bought this to free myself from standing around in the sun for long periods. I read many reviews and noted the concerns, but took a chance - it paid off. Yes, it not the most secure/sturdiest, but my cat merely likes to lie inside and observe the surroundings. I specifically bought this because it doesn't have a "floor" and he can lie in the grass. If he was smarter, he could easily find a way to escape under the sides - but he's not. He loves it. I can sit and enjoy the outside time. I would not leave him unattended. I haven't found any issue with the stake ties. I am careful to set it up (2mins) on the flatest spot and check that the bottom edges don't have any visible gaps. The only problem I found was refolding after use, there's no way in goes back into the carrying case, but it folds up easily & I just store it flat.
