Perfect Replacement – Feels Just Like the Original
This replacement seat for my Size B Aeron chair fit perfectly and matched the original in both comfort and quality. The mesh feels sturdy, supportive, and identical to what came with the chair originally.Installation was simple, and once it was on, I honestly couldn’t tell the difference. If you’re looking to refresh your chair without replacing the whole thing, this is the way to go. Solid product.

Herman Miller exceeds expectations
Wow, am I impressed. My package arrived with very impressive contents. The seat was provided inside a wonderful case along with a package of all the tools required for the installation and very detailed instructions. The replacement took only 15 minutes for the changeout. Everything is quality and great. Herman Miller is absolutely the best. The chair I have if comfortable and functional. adjustment capable and looks great.

Excellent quality - like OEM
Excellent quality - just had to replace the seats on two very old aeron chairs and didn't realize how worn down they were. This seat was a major upgrade. Will definitely buy again if I need one

Glad I bought it
When the seat of my 30+ year old Aeron chair failed, I started looking for replacement chairs, and then read a Consumer Report review of office chairs. It still had the Aeron chair listed as one of their top choices. This encouraged me to look to repair rather than replace the chair, and I came upon this replacement seat. After watching several YouTube videos, I started the replacement process. For the most part, the process went smoothly. Getting the seat and the swing arms detached was relatively easy. Getting the replacement seat and one of the swing arms reattached was also relatively easy. Getting the second swing arm reattached was a bit of a challenge. I own what may be a first-generation Aeron chair, and as shown in the instructions, there are bushings and a spacer that were replaced on more modern versions of the chair. Dealing with the bushings and the spacer on this second arm was a bit of a chore. Add in that I am in my 70s, and don't have a good work bench to work on. Some choice words were uttered while trying to get the hole, bushing, and screw into alignment on that final connection. That said, I dd get it back together, and it seems to function just as it did before the tearing. I do wonder whether over time there has been some distortion/warping of the seat that made reattaching the second swing arm more difficult. In the end, it was worth the effort.I will note that my seat frame was intact, and it was only after i ordered that i noticed one could buy just the mesh insert and replace it. If I live long enough to need to replace the mesh again, this might be the route I pursue. It reduces the cost to about half of what this product runs. For now I am happy to have my chair back.

PERFECT FIT (for an Aeron size "B") ---- wrong hex key was sent
This is a third party replacement for the seat of an Aeron chair size-"B".It fits PERFECTLY for a size B.If you read someone complaining that it doesn't fit, it is because they ordered the wrong itemOR the wrong item was shipped to them. But the item listed here, the one I have received fits a size B perfectly! NOTE: The amazon listing has clear images showing the dimensions of a size-B and size-C chair seat. It also has (and I found this to be the most useful) an image illustrating how the back of the chair has TWO screws for a size-C chair and ONLY ONE CENTERED screw for a size-B chair. I included a photo of my size-B chair for illustration. The good:- It fits perfectly and it's easy enough to replace. The Bad:- The product arrived with a torx screwdriver instead of a 4mm hex key.If you have a set of hex key at home, you're good. Otherwise get one here with a 4mm key.(Note: I only had an imperial set of hex keys and I found and used on that was close enough to hold securely)- The instructions are terrible (mostly ass covering with CAUTION boxes). But it's easy to install. Here are the simpler instructions:Removing the old seat:1) Remove the large side screws holding the seat of the chair using the larger 6mm hex / Allen key2) Remove the 2 sets of nuts/bolt forming the "collarbone" connector below the chair, using the provided 10 mm socket and the (or your) 4mm hex / Alen keyPutting in the replacement seat:1) Attach and screw in the 2 sets of nuts/bolt forming the "collarbone" connector below the chair, using the provided 10 mm socket and the 4mm hex / Alen key.** IMPORTANT** do these ones first or (like me) you will have to redo it... if you put the larger screws in first, you won't be able to access the space to put in those smaller ones after.2) Align the seat, insert and screw in the large side screws holding the seat of the chair using the larger 6mm hex / Allen keyConclusion:Bad instructions, wrong tools (but hey, they **included** tools, so it's not too bad!).Great seat, that fits perfectly!Verdict: If you have a size-B chair and need a new seat: GET IT herre!!

Direct Replacement
I have a Herman Miller Aeron chair that is about 20 years old. The seat material started to rip, so looked for a solution. I bought this replacement seat based on positive Amazon reviews. They even give you all the tools to change out the seat. It was a little bit of a pain in the [donkey] to remove the screws and replace the seat, even for someone used to DIY repairs, but the new seat was a perfect match for the old seat, so nothing to complain about. Time will tell how long it lasts, but seems fine so far.
