I love this peanut butter! I like being able to purchase it in a bulk quantity like this 5 pound container, for one thing. It has the best flavor and I love that it's the natural peanut butter with the layer of oil that requires stirring. It's a plus to get it in crunchy as opposed to creamy! I am a peanut butter aficionado, so I'm always interested in getting a high quality, natural product and this fits the bill. Hopefully, the price will remain reasonable so I can continue to enjoy it! Thank you!

I love it but you have to mix it up with a food processor it's clumpy and dry until mixed up good then it's easy to spread

Adams is always of the highest quality roasted to perfection. Slightly difficult to stir , worth the time. Will never buy processed junk peanut butter again.

This peanut butter is by far my favorite. The only other kind I will eat is Whole Foods' 365 brand, which has a remarkably similar taste and consistency. Natural peanut butters are not very popular because you have to stir them before the first time you use it. I literally put the beater from a hand mixer into my cordless drill and stir my peanut butter that way. Just TWO ingredients: peanuts and salt! Because this product has only two ingredients, it is more difficult for the peanut butter to have a reliable consistency. I've seen reviews saying it was too watery. It may have been a bit more "watery" than they were used to, but it appeared that they didn't open the jar. Without thoroughly mixing the product, the peanut butter and oil will not be blended and will appear watery. This product is also supposed to be refrigerated after opening. Well mixed and at a chilled temperature, this product should have a consistency that will be enjoyable.This peanut butter needs to be refrigerated and it can be very difficult to spread when very cold or when it isn't consumed fast enough and a re-separation occurs. Much of the salt may migrate to the bottom if it hasn't been consumed or mixed again in a few weeks. If you lay off the peanut butter for a while, you can leave it at room temperature for a few hours to soften and stir it again before you start using it again.Adams is always a bargain when you can get it in this large jar. But you will get it at way better prices if you can find it at Costco, Walmart, Win-Co or Grocery Outlet. Most grocery store chains I have visited only carry Adams in a very small jar, which for me would only be a few days' worth.

I loved the flavor and texture, but the price point is just too high. I did a little digging to make sure I wasn't complaining about nothing and I found that I could personally purchase peanuts @ ~ $1/lb @ 50lb quantity, and since I understand economics that means Adams here probably gets them a fair bit cheaper at the high purchase quantities they operate at. Add in the ten cents or so of electricity to crush the peanuts and a healthy margin for operating costs and I still just can't see the cost per unit weight needing to be this high unless theres just not enough people buying the product to recoup costs. At any rate it's delicious, but out of the budget of a disabled vet.
