DP Audio Video 2.5" HD Dash Cam with Night Vision

Easy install

I had one of the same camera for nearly 15 years and it worked perfectly. When it finally fell apart I ordered the two. Neither of them are worth the money I paid for them. One only half works and the other works not at all. The batteries that came with them were both dead and could not be charged.I hoped that DP would still make a camera as good as the first one I owned but have been very disappointed.

I like the size and quality

Did not use the power cable used by an earlier dash cam. The basically looked alike. Had to rerun the wiring due to end plugged in camera.Performance is very good.

Doesn't record while charging. So, if you're driving when it dies, you either don't get to record anymore of your trip or you have to pull over and let it charge. Ridiculous design.Also could not manually adjusted from daytime to night vision mode. Does it automatically but I drove for about 15 minutes in the dark before it switched to night vision mode. Couldn't see anything of the 15 minutes driving in the dark when I played it back. That's as far as I got before I decided it was junk and returned it.

THESE CAMERAS ARE GREAT!The simplicity of these cameras is great.The recordings are clear. You just cant beat the pricefor the quality.We returned two other manufacturers cameras that cost much more for a few reasons.1. instructions were so small had to take a picture and blow it up.2. instructions were not clearly expressed.3. to complex to set up4. etc.

The camera tends to come loose from the mount, so I'm always retightening it. I tried to play the videos on several computers off of the SD card, and can't make them play. Format not recognized by any of the players I tried (PC).
