They are loud and clear

The media could not be loaded. Purchased two of these tweeters for my system and they are amazing! Amplified the really high notes of the music while throwing a surprisingly great amount of vocal too. They’re really are tweeter/horns. I recommend matching the wattage for the amp depending on how many you purchase. I bought two so I got a small 400 RMS amplifier to go with them and it’s perfect. Do not run on same amp as your mids! Depending on how much power your pushing you’ll blow them. I have 4 6.5’s 220 RMS each on a 1000 RMS amplifier and when I first bought these tweeters I added them to that and they were ridiculously loud and probably could’ve blown. So I purchased the separate amp and they are perfect, clear and crisp. Best bang for your buck! Highly recommend!!

LOUD AND CLEAR

Bought the twn4 and loved them. Clear and loud! But, had to upgrade a amp for more power and got the twn5 to handle more power. Then I made them 3way speakers and adjusted the twn5 db level to the wooofers and used the lower power rate twn4 to only get more of the ultimate clear highest frequency level that this model puts out. But, if you look at the pic you'll see they soldered the L-shape connector inwords on the twn4 with the plastic backing supporting the soldered connection on the diaphragm, securing them from wire tension and connecting when using blade connectors. The twn5 connectors have nothing for stability by them cutting out the plastic backing all together. Terminal detached at the soldered point when I attempted to connect them. Why would they not go with the same design? Disappointed in them dropping the ball! For that price, you'd think they'd make it as good as the smaller tweeter of that same model! So I made up for their imperfections and put some high temp clear caulk in the well created by their cutout of plastic. I strongly suggest you do the same before connecting terminal. With no support it's very likely they'll detach from the diaphragm pc board that they solder the terminals to. I'll have to cut out the caulk, if I ever have to change out the $20 diaphragm they offer a replacement for. But, well worth the extra labor if it ever gets to that point!

A friend of mine talked me into buying these tweeters even though I just put in a new pair from JL Audio a few months prior. He promised me that these tweeters would out perform my current set. Since there wasn’t a working demo at the store, I had to take his word for it and made him promise to pay me back if they didn’t live up to his hype. Well, needless to say, my buddy got to keep his money and the amount these cost me was money well spent! My stereo isn’t anything too crazy. I have a Tahoe with JL Audio C1’s 6x9’s in the front and 6.5’s in the back with a 10” Kicker Q-Class Sub. The door speakers are being pushed with a kicker key 200.4 amp and the sub is getting power from a kicker key 500.1 amp. (Highly recommend the amps, btw, with the built-in DSP) When I swapped out the tweeters and listened to Alive by Sia, it blew my mind! Her vocals were taking to the stratosphere! It was like she was in the passenger seat and I was getting a live performance. I still can’t believe how amazing these sound! It’s like my entire speaker setup was upgraded. I’m blown away by the quality and the performance. I’ve had these for about a year now and because I’m only pushing 45-50 watts per tweeter, I haven’t even scratched the surface. And honestly, any louder and I would probably need to get a Suburban or a school bus instead of a Tahoe. Artist like Sam Smith, Adele, Cardi B to Kodak Black, Christina Aguilera, and Frank Sinatra come alive!
