best planner ever
My fiance and I ordered this and gotten it the very next day. We love how easy it is to keep things organized and to be able to add our own touches to it. We actually transferred the pages from the original binder to one that zips up so that we don't risk putting a stain or tearing the actual binder up.

Good Tool for Keeping Track of Details
I love the idea of the book and the format it's in. Since some of the pages don't apply to my wedding it was nice to be able to remove them and keep just what I need. For a bride who does need most of the pages (or even if you don't), it's an excellent collection of charts and lists to keep track of the details that seem overwhelming at times. I knew I didn't want a planner/organizer with a lot of pictures or lists of tips/ideas to use (ie wasted space; I don't need pages and pages of centerpiece ideas) and this definitely fit the bill. There isn't a lot of extra information and what is included is better described as suggestions or very basic info. For example, in the dress section one of the first pages shows illustrations of popular wedding gown options (necklines, styles, etc.) and, while it doesn't include a lot of what can be found in the stores, it gives an idea of common shapes to expect to see when you do go dress shopping. I haven't needed to use the pockets yet but I love knowing they're there when the time comes that I do need to use them. The lists they provide are very detailed and cover almost everything you need to keep track of, including things I hadn't thought of.Pros:--few tips and examples; mostly charts and lists to keep the bride organized--the binder allows pages to be removed or added easily and fits an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper so no folding necessary--empty spaces in the charts to add items you need for your wedding but aren't already listed--storage pockets for business cards, fabric swatches, etc.--labeled dividers help keep categories separated but organized in an easy-to-see format--sturdy binder w/ a simple design (the paper cover that is shown in the picture--the one that says "The Wedding Planner and Organizer..."--is just taped to the inside of the front and back covers, so it comes off easily and leaves you with a lightly patterned binder)Cons: I don't really have any negatives. While some of the material is unnecessary as far as my wedding goes, I just took those pages out.

Great product--better than I had hoped
I received the binder within two days, as I recall. I was quite pleased with the content of the book. It has all the information one could need to plan a wedding, including how far in advance to do tasks and how to go about doing some things. The color is pleasant--a soft blue and the tabs are extremely helpful when trying to find information quickly. I especially like the guest list listing and the pockets in each section in which to keep notes and other items, which one needs to have at hand. Also I am able to add additional pages, if needed. I would definitely recommend or give this product to brides-to-be or mothers of the bride who are planning a wedding. I have been using it almost daily since I received it and like it very much. The one drawback was, on receipt of the binder, when I removed it from the box and opened the binder to review its contents, the bottom ring would not close completely and causes the pages to come undone at that site when I use it. I was in a hurry to use it, so I just kept it. I did not have time to return it and get another. The one that I sent to my daughter was in mint condition and she had no complaints. Overall very pleased.

Organization is Key!
I had been looking for a wedding planner that would allow me to keep all my receipts of deposits, contracts and ideas all organized in one place. The Mindy Weiss does just that. The 3-ring binder was key for me and the dividers have pockets which are great for magazine clippings and such, not to mention the dividers are helpful when trying to get to vendor info, dress info- it's all sectioned out. I took a lot of the pages out to make room for what I needed, but some of the sections are equipped with useful information such as a registry list, contact sheets, business card holder. It does have multiple pages for guest information, but like I said, I removed pages to make room for more paperwork, but I didn't see it necessary to have the guest list inside as I have it saved on an Excel spreadsheet.I wasn't looking for something to help me plan, I was looking for something to help me organize. If you're looking for guidance, this could be helpful, but I think it's better for someone who already knows most of the major details and needs to keep things organized and maybe get some tips along the way.I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, just bc there's no calendar and it's a little wider than a school binder, but other than that I am very happy with it.I considered the Martha Stewart one, but in the end purchased the Mindy Weiss based on other reviews and I am happy with it. My sister used Tying the Knot by Sara Miller, and I considered that too but it seemed to have been a while since it's last print (2005) so I went with Mindy. Oh, and great buy on Amazon, it was about $10 cheaper than in-store at B&N.Good luck to all in the wedding planning process!

This over The Knot one
I bought both this binder and the one from the Knot for comparison. This one seems better quality and I like that there are built in pockets for documents. The one from the know also focuses more on photos from other weddings. Either way - they have very similar content but I preferred this one!
