Seems to be a good Shredder, super small pieces. But Amazon Driver dropped the package,
Received the new Shredder and the Amazon Driver admitted that it fell out of the delivery Truck onto the ground. We both figured it would be OK but upon opening, the bin for the paper shreds was broken badly. I wanted to replace the unit instead of do a return, but lately, we've had several damaged items delivered by Amazon. The damage was likely caused by the packing. We requested the Shredder be shipped in a privacy (gift} box hoping to add more protection to the contents. Huge mistake! Well, they put the double-boxed Shredder into a very oversized box. This allowed the manufacturers box to flop around withing the large Amazon box destroying itself. Returning product and waiting for replacements have been a hassle lately. We know the CostCo Shredder isn't a nearly secure as this one but will try it since CostCo is just 2 miles from our House. - no delivery required. The Wolverine Shredder itself does an excellent job and is simple to use. We would have never returned it if it had not been damaged. We probably should have asked for a replacement since we got it on a sale price and love the super high security it offers.Rating:Shredder is a 5, Amazon is a 1.

The best, and quietest shredder
It's super quiet, plus I leave the switch on all the time and the motor is completely silent. Only when I insert paper to shred does it make a sound and not loud at all. This is great because I don't have to constantly turn it on and off to shred a few papers throughout the day. Helps me keep my shredding better managed. It also shreds credit cards. The cut is the finest I've ever seen. I use a wastepaper basket size plastic bag in the basket and it's so easy to gather up the 'confetti'. It's got casters, making it easy to move. I've had it for 3 years now and will definitely buy again if this one ever stops. I love, love, love it. Best money I've spent on a shredder ever.

Shreds like a hungry alligator
My first one ordered broke after 3 days. Only used it 2X. Ordered a replacement that took Amazon a week to get to me.The Wolverine rep was very helpful during my fit. I spent a lot on this unit. Shreds very good in very small pieces. The cd/credit card slot only cuts cards into 2 pieces. It does not shred them. Not important for me; I cut my plastic up myself into tiny pieces & don’t hav cd’s to shred. I use it to shred papers only.I hope this replacement unit lasts. Given the cost of it, it better.I have the 10-sheet micro shredder. It eats up & chews the paper like it’s a starved pit bull.Nice small pieces, never able to be reassembled into its original form.My last shredder died after 16yrs. It was a cross cut, 16sheet capacity, shred to 4mmX25mm… satisfactory but not small enough.I always preferred/wanted a smaller cut & waited until I replaced the old one with a micro shred. This wolverine 10pg max machine micro shreds to 2mmX12mm. Small Confetti size. Perfect for shredding any docs. The chomper head is heavy duty. Good, weighty, solid. It eats cd’s, staples, clips, plastic cards … it’s on wheels & rolls EZ On hard floor. Sufficiently large bin window to see dumping level. The bottom case & dumper bucket is a cheap thin hard plastic. It’s looks great, has a nice modern sleek style & I really like the white color!!Given it’s for home use & will be parked in & used in one spot, I’m not too concerned about what seems like a brittle plastic case, cracking. Bin has a loose fit while putting back into shredder case, but snugs up tight when fully closed. It’s pricey, I don’t like the hard plastic bin that slides in loosely, but exactly the shred I want in a nice micro size.I’ll just be extremely careful when emptying the bin & use care when replacing it into its case. Then it should be fine.If it lasts for years, I’ll be very pleased. TBDI’d say it’s overpriced but for this level of security, it’s on par with other brands.

A very nice sturdy shredder.
I decided to buy a shredder that was more heavy duty than prior ones I bought. After returning a Walmart Fellowes shredder 2xs, I thought not again. Really both were a piece of junk. This wolverine is extremely quiet, and I love how it shreds. The pieces that are shredded are very small particles in which no scammer could ever piece together. The shredder is very nice and I'm very pleased. It cost more than the cheaply made Fellowes Walmart brand but so well worth it. I believe it, with proper care, will last a long time.

Wolverine SD9610
Had this for about two weeks and quite happy with this purchase. Very happy with noise level of this shredder most of all. It is sooo quiet compared to shredder this replaced, I can barely hear it over ambient noise when it's running. The steel cutting heads were also a big selling point for me, since the shredder this replaced didn't have that. Grinds up paper and credit cards with ease into little tiny pieces. The shred size was also a big selling point. Ran a bin full of shred without issue, including several expired credit cards. Really easy to use as well, push the power button in and feed it material.

BEWARE: Incomplete CD and Credit Card Shredding
The media could not be loaded. PROS: Reliable micro paper shredder. Doesn't need any lubrication. Easy to use. Maneuverable with casters. Super quiet (for a shredder). Doesn't overheat or jam up easily and it's easy to clear jams.CONS: The Wolverine does a poor job shredding CDs and credit cards. As you can see in the short video, portions of CDs and credit cards are shredded while other portions are not. I fished these fragments out of the built-in paper shred bin. Also, the warranty is only for 12 months. It took me almost 24 months to discover there were remaining plastic fragments and now I'm stuck. This shredder is just too expensive to be dealing with this level of poor performance.
