I ordered this valve and installed it because my unit would only run in reverse. It solved that problem. However, I had no idea it also helps determine the overall power and speed of my pool cleaner. After installing it my cleaner performs twice as good as it ever did. There are dozens of these valves available at lots of different price points. This is one of the more expensive ones. But worth the extra money.

Has been doing a good job. Allows cleaner to work and will cycle to pull it back. Only reverses for a short time so it gets it unstuck and then let's it go back to work

I noticed that my Polaris pool cleaner was not working properly. It wasn't cleaning as well as it used to. Its about 8 years old, I just replace parts instead of buying a new Polaris. I realized that the valve was not spraying like it should, so I replaced it with this new valve. Easy to replace the old one. Now, my Polaris is working like new again! Definitely a great product to an older unit running efficiently. Highly recommended.

This item does not meet the polaris specs. It's flow is longer and stronger than the Polaris unit. It spins around and tangles the line. Make the units vacuum capabilities a nightmare. For it to work you have to babysit it and continually untangle it. Just get the polaris parts from a reputable on line source or pool supply store. The fast free delivery doesn't help when you must then replace everything down the road.

This was a replacement reverse thruster for our Polaris 280. It is working well.

Worked perfect to replace my broken one on my TR28P. Make sure you keep the plastic nuts off the ends from you old one because this does not come with them.

This version definitely works. This is the 2nd one I have bought and they definitely worked better than the cheaper brands. The cheaper brands (i.e. $12 versions) don't work... I tried the cheaper ones x2 and both of them failed.
