Almost perfect outdoor camera for HomeKit, with a few minor quibbles
Eufy is doing what few others (if any) are - making a wireless outdoor camera that is compatible with Apple HomKit. I used these to replace two aging Blink cameras that were no longer reliable (and certainly were not viewable in HomeKit.) At this price point, the Eufy cams aren't perfect, but in addition to being HomeKit compatible, there are NO subscriptions required. Speaking for myself, I avoid products that require a monthly or annual fee to access features that are baked into the device. Eufy does not make you pay extra for those features, although you do need to use the Eufy app (not just the HomeKit app) in order to access all the camera's features. While you can set this up directly in HomeKit (without using the Eufy app), it's better to set it up first in the Eufy app and bind the base to HomeKit under "Settings" in the Eufy app. That way, you can access features including firmware updates, mic and speaker access, and detailed camera settings. This would have been a 5-star review, except for several minor gripes. For instance, these Eufy cameras are compatible with, but not native to Apple HomeKit. A hub (HomeBase 2) is required, connecting to your router through a LAN port. Just one more thing you need to add and manage. And while the HomeBase 2 hub is capable of connecting many cameras in the Eufy app, it can only connect 4 cameras to HomeKit.Viewing video feed in HomeKit has a signifiant delay, but viewing from the Eufy app seems faster. This could be due to the interface between the HomeBase 2 and whichever HomeKit gateway you are using. Whatever, it's an annoyance when the other cameras pop right up in HomeKit.Another minor gripe is that the cameras use a micro-USB plug for recharging the internal battery. That is old tech. And yes, while the 2C Pro system was introduced a few years ago, Eufy has not updated this connector. It also recommends using a 5W AC adapter (not included) - you know, like the old-generation iPhone AC adapters. You may have a few of these lying around, but I think one should have been included with the set. Also, you only get 1 micro-USB-to-USB cable, even though there are two cameras. So, if you don't have another other micro-USB cable lying around and if both cameras need recharging at the same time, it could take up to 10 hours (5 hours each) to recharge both cameras. The cameras use a standard 1/4-inch screw thread mount (same as for a tripod), so any number of third-party mounts should work instead of the relatively cheap included plastic mounts. This means you can mount these outside practically anywhere - overhangs, gutters, trees, fences, etc. However, note that the range of the Eufy 2C Pro is rather short. I found mine didn't go much past 50 feet - and that is a straight-shot between the cameras and the base with only a window as an "obstruction".Yes, Eufy makes a more powerful system with solar-powered cameras for HomeKit, but it's also like 4 times the price. For roughly $150, the 2C Pro system is a reasonably-priced alternative, with a few bugs.

Easy set up, crystal clear
Fantastic, couldn’t be happier. This was by far the easiest, fastest mounting and set up ever. Crystal clear video and easy functional app!

DO NOT trust your life, or even your property, to these cameras.
READ THIS BEFORE BUYING:Motion detection only works some of the time. Someone bashed out 3 windows on my car last night. I had the motion detection "box" drawn around my car in a fairly large area (we don't have assigned parking so I have to re-do the motion detection box pretty much every time I come home, wouldn't be a big deal ...if it actually worked).I had it set to the 2nd setting in power options ("up to 60 seconds recording time", but it never does, the videos stop before the person even walks outside of the box), with "human only" checked so it doesn't go off every time a car drives by, and the sensitivity turned up to 6. I had my window open in my bedroom, I heard it happen, it wasn't from a passing vehicle. The rocks in and around my car are big enough that he couldn't have thrown them from outside of the motion detection box I had drawn around my car (it was a large area). They just wouldn't have made it that far. There's no video of the incident. Only one of me coming out at 5am to see what the noise was. it was dark enough at that time that even when I looked at my car from the stairs, I didn't see the broken glass. It sounded more like someone getting their front door kicked in, anyways, so I wasn't looking for broken glass (I guess auto glass doesn't sound like a normal house window breaking) ...so I didn't notice the damage until I left the house this evening to try and pick up some last-minute thanksgiving meal ingredients... It didn't record me coming out at 3am to see what the 2 prior noises were, even though I HAD TO have walked into the motion detection zones to get down my stairs. It didn't record me all of the times I've gone in and out of my door since I noticed the damage. These cameras are basically worthless. They're even worse than worthless, because without ANY cameras, I wouldn't have had a false sense of security.Basically, they only work when they want to. There's only 1 video of this entire day saved, and that's of me leaving the house at 5am after I'd heard another loud noise (I guess that was him coming back to hit my rear window). This is a large apartment complex, probably 20 people have walked past my car today, that it should've recorded, but didn't.I've had other security cameras in the past that this wouldn't have been a problem with. I know I have it set up properly (I'm pretty tech-savvy). It's just a sub-par product. (and of course it's past the amazon return window, I believe, I may have to take this up with my credit card company if there's problems sending them back). Motion detection seems to fail completely past 30 feet or so, then only works randomly when it's up close. The car was well under 100 feet away (more like 40-50 feet from the camera). Also, I've only had these for about 2 months, and have had to take them down to charge them about 4 times already, so don't believe the hype on the battery life. Unless you're way out in a rural area where there's nobody to ever trigger it.I'm a rideshare driver, that car is my livelihood. I've been home quarantined, so don't have enough to cover the deductible, I barely have my rent saved up ...So this is probably going to wind up with me being evicted and losing everything I own since I'll have no way to pay to get it fixed....all because I trusted these cameras.Happy Thanksgiving, I hope you all are having a better one than I am.
