HP 14 Laptop, AMD 3020e, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB eMMC Storage, 14-inch HD Display, Windows 10 Home in S Mode, Long Battery Life, Microsoft 365, (14-fq0020nr, 2020)

I bought this to edit my Boss Katana MKII Guitar Amp. I don’t know much about windows based computers but this laptop seems to to the job just fine. Although it wouldn’t download the Boss Katana software at first. It never dawned on me that it needed to be updated.So two weeks after I got the computer I wouldn’t give up I kept trying to download and only after the windows upgrade did the Katana software load up perfectly. So if you’re buying this computer for the same reason.Realize you must upgrade windows first it will save you a lot of grief and time.

Great At-Home laptop!! It comes equipped with Microsoft suites (of course, you sign up for the subscription), Windows 10 already installed in S-mode. Keep in mind, once you switch off from S mode, you are responsible for anti-virus protection, firewall protection, and all the other geek protection features that you don’t have to worry about installing yourself cause your laptop is already set up with this. I’ve noticed MS has a complex cause you can’t use any other products or features that are not MS approved like Chrome, Zoom, and etc. There are ways to get around it but you just can’t download this and have the icon on your laptop. Still debating if I want to keep my laptop in S mode. Other than that, I love it!!

I had been using an old Dell for quite sometime and finally because of the lack of speed and outdated operating system decided to upgrade. I knew I wanted an AMD processor but totally overlooked the fact that this was an HP machine. I have never been a fan of HP because every HP desktop and laptop has been junk. I have been using this laptop for months and it seems to work ok. I am impressed with the battery life and how lightweight the unit is, but I don't like the mousepad and I have had issues with the keys wanting to pop off. The speed for what I do--mostly writing and using the internet--is plenty. It is a very basic laptop that is suitable for day to day use. I would probably recommend to someone who is not looking to drop a lot of $ on a laptop.

I bought this computer for an online assignment. I wasn't sure if I should trust it at first because the price was so affordable. I took a chance and I'm so glad I did. I have exactly what I need in this great device. It turned on and set up quickly. I am very happy with my purchase!

love it! like other reviewers, when i turned off s-mode it definitely starting running slower. solution: reset it with removing all files, and when it asks where to download Windows from, download it from device not the cloud! it reinstalls it w/o s-mode on, and works fast! i hope that works for anyone else who tries it!!

I really had high hopes for this computer but could do even the basics like watching YouTube. It takes forever to type by the delayed lagI tried everything to make it a bit powerful like lowering the graphics to the minimum, giving it updates, nothing worked. Too noisy also and heats up and lags even more.

On the plus side, it's very lightweight so easy to carry around. For a little laptop, the keyboard is large and easier to use than most. The screen quality isn't good. The hard drive is only 64 GB. It's very slow. It came with Windows in S mode which I disabled. Won't let me install the software and browser I use. In S mode, you can only use software from the Microsoft store. HP keeps popping up wanting me to use their storage and all. Very annoying. The mouse pad is large but no scrolling ability. Have to use the keyboard to page up and down. Sound is awful. Tinny and shaky. The general construction is poor. I don't think it will hold up for very long. The price isn't really that great either considering the quality. I'm keeping it as a back up but wouldn't buy it otherwise.
