I have a CircuPool Universal40 SWGC and the stand fit the salt cell perfectly.I tried a test fit first without any teflon tape and filled it with water, there was a very small leak. I tightened the stand a bit more to stop the leak. The leak became like drops, but unscrewing the stand was very hard.So, I used the included teflon tape on the cell before screwing it onto the stand. It went on much smoother with the tape and there was no leak. Filled the cell with just household white vinegar, let it stand for a couple of hours, then poured out the vinegar, unscrewed the stand (much easier due to the teflon tape), cleaned it with a nylon bristle bottle brush under running water and rinsed it out. Came out like new.The stand makes the salt cell cleaning a breeze, very convenient without creating any mess. And much safer too, if you plan to use diluted muriatic acid.

Leaks

Pool guy told us to get one of these to make cleaning our salt chlorinator a breeze. It gives you freedom to walk away and let the acid do its job. 10 minutes later we were all done. Recommend this for all in line salt systems

1Use a little silicone grease on threads , reverse rinse the cell first with a hose to remove debris. Then screw into base but tighten only to snug with cord facing up.2 put 32 oz distilled water in an empty acid bottle and add 8 oz concentrated pool acid using a 2cup plastic measuring cup .So this is written as 1:4 mix which equals 20% acid 80% water, Add acid to water Always,Some cell manufacturers may want 5 parts water (40oz) to one part acid (8 oz) mix in empty acid gallon jug,3 then use a quart or pint plastic measuring cup with a good spot to cover the plates 1 inch from top, bubbles 15 minutes or less to stop bubbling.Pour mix out of cell into cup and then back into bottle carefully, thenRinse inside cell with some water once and pour in a bucket , remove base and reinstall , check for leaks, I use a little silicone grease on threads and face and gently use oil filter pliers to tighten large collars to just snug and wiggle cell sideways gently for good alignment

Picture looks like it has a rubber gasket in it but it came with Teflon tape. Don’t like to use tape when using Murat if acid

I had buildup in my salt cell. I tried to spray it out with the hose with a nozzle set to jet. It did not take it out. I ordered the product, and very carefully (be very conscious of acid safety rules) used it with an acid and water mix according to a video I watched. It worked! Super simple and fast. The build up was pretty bad, so I did two soaks. Completely clean after the second soak.
