Hi. I have two German shepherd pups so bought two mattresses. I is a chewer the other a scratcher and digger. We have had the beds for a few weeks now and they have not managed to make any damage to the beds yet. But, one reason could be the beds are a perfect fit in the base of the crate and no matter how much they scrabble they cannot get a corner up to chew. However they have scratched and scrabbled and made no damage at all to the surface. Also I cover the beds with a ordinary cotton sheet and hold it in place with those straps (bit like suspenders fasteners) which holds the sheet in place perfectly so this approach might also protect the bed. Hope this helps.

Q: What size is this in mm? there is not an xx large size quoted in the description.

It perfectly fits our cage so it is 106 cm long, 71 cm wide or 1060 mm x 710 mm. Hope this helps.

Making a rustling noise no I have an Alsatian he chews. Everything he has chewed the corners But for her nothing is understuctable

The pad is solid and robust with a cover which comes off to wash . Its a great success.
