Woah! don't be wearing any lose fitting hair-piece around this thing! I got the 10 inch model.... and it blows... or sucks, depending on your perspective. Extremely effective blade pitch, and not particularly noisy (you have to be bonkers to expect this volume of air to be moved silently) From an effectiveness point of view I can't fault it... however... the sprung flaps on the outlet aren't going to last long, the springs are extremely feeble (ive come up with a fix for this involving a solenoid and a sliding mechanism) Also --- the power cable is routed to the outside (again.... a fix... a bent bit of metal tube) - - Dont let this put you off tho, its super 'blowy' and real good VFM

Now reported to trading standards. This item does not ship with a legal UK plug. Distributors and retailers including second-hand dealers and auctions must only sell appliances which are correctly fitted with an approved plug with sleeved pins and the correct fuse. All plugs must carry the name and reference number of the approval body, normally BSI or ASTA.There is a specific distance between the pins and the edge of the plug to prevent fingers making contact with the pins while the plug is inserted into the socket. That is why our plugs are quite chunky.

Installed in my kitchen as I didn't have room for a cooker hood. It is so powerful it actually sucks in cooking steam.Highly recommended . The best extractor I have ever installed and 40 years in the building trade I've installed loads.
