Due to the pandemic, I need a thermometer for daily use. After browsed all the related products listed on amazon i decided to buy this one. It arrived two days after I placed the ordered, which was very speedy. Easy to set up: install the two batteries ( came with the thermometer) and then you are good to go. One surprising bonus I found was that you can switch between celsius and fahrenheit, which is very convenient. So far I have used it for about half a month, it works well as it always did. Therefore i come back to leave a 5 star comment, which they literally deserve it! Buy this product if you need one! Highly recommend it!

Easy read, works good

Infrared thermometers are expensive these days, so when I found this I jumped at it, we use it to check not only ourselves but also guests, it is a quick and easy read.As far as accuracy it does not quite agree with my traditional in-mouth thermometer but it is close enough to be reliable and as I understand it the environment such as room temp influences the read on these.The conclusion is, this product is worth the price and a must in any medicine cabinet.

Works great

This thermometer is very easy to use. It defaulted to Fahrenheit, so that was extra convenient since a lot of reviews mentioned having a difficult time converting from Celsius. There are two readings—the first is shown under the house icon and is the surface temperature. The second is shown by the head icon and shows the internal temperature (one you need). I actually really appreciate the surface temperature reading because my son sometimes gets flushed and blotchy from sudden temperature changes. It helps to know that it’s only his skin getting hot rather than a worrisome temperature. Especially helpful given the current situation.The manual is very helpful, and I suggest keeping it stored somewhere in case there are issues later. It had tips on how to accurately take a temperature, how to navigate the thermometer, and how to troubleshoot possible issues.I would suggest having new batteries on hand when you first get this. It comes with two Chinese brand AAA’s.Overall, it’s a great option since thermometers are all hard to find right now!

I was looking for a digital forehead thermometer and actually bought another brand that had good reviews. Sadly that other brand did not have a great battery life. In fact, in about 2 days, the batteries would go out even after I had turned off the unit! Obviously, I returned the other brand and started to research for a new alternative. I found this FACEIL thermometer and asked a question before I purchased it if the battery life was good, to which I got a solid yes from a few people. So, I am writing this review to confirm that YES, the battery life is excellent, and works as expected, meaning I have had the thermometer since August 5 and it has been working perfectly, keeping its battery charge after non-use. If you are looking for a decent priced forehead thermometer that works, I highly recommend the FACEIL Thermometer.

Update: Changed to three stars. I eventually found the section in the little booklet how to operate it and through trial and error figured it out. Still a pain though because it always reads "Lo" when I turn it on.Original: The instruction book is terrible. Walks through all the technical aspects and modes to use but there isn't a "here's how to operate it" section. When turned on it reads "Lo". So I changed the batteries and still says "Lo" even though the battery indicator shows fully charged batteries. I press scan and wipe across my forehead but can't tell if its doing anything. There's no beep, when you press the mode and then press scan it doesn't clear the previous info on the screen, there's no beep, there's no change to the screen indication its doing anything so I have no idea if it's ready or not. I scan and the previous info is still on the screen. Did it work? I have no idea.

This thermometer always shows a 97.something unless something is really hot. My 6 week old ended up in the hospital with a fever, coded, and was successfully resuscitated. I noticed my baby felt hot on Friday, but this thermometer said he was fine. Saturday he’s not acting himself, but still this thermometer says he’s okay. By the end of the day Saturday I couldn’t ignore how hot he was and did a rectal temperature, he was 101.5. So I took him to the ER immediately. Sunday night he ended up flat lining for a second due to the fever. Please do not buy this. My son was successfully resuscitated but anything could have happened. If I had known on Friday and taken him in to get treated before it was too bad, I whole heartedly believe things would not have been so bad. I followed all the directions with this when I used it, made sure there was no draft, and still would get the normal temp. If you have a newborn just invest in an ear thermometer or rectal thermometer. I pray this never happens to any other parents.
