Canson XL Series Watercolor Sheet Bulk Pack, Midweight White Paper, 100 Sheets, 9x12 inch

Ive been searching for a reasonably priced watercolor paper that I could use for my card making All I could fine was a 140lb weight, which is I did use but still to heavy for what I wanted. It was the only thing I could find locally.Think real small rural towns,I mean real rural. The closest "BIG" city is 90 mins away and its not that big) I found this and I LOVE it Now Im not an expert when it comes to water coloring but this paper holds up well to my beginners attempts. Doesn't buckle when I get it really wet its a perfect weight to use for card making The paper has a smooth side and a very slightly textured side and both grab the paint well. I intend to buy another box real soon because with my luck now that Ive found the perfect paper for me they'll quit making it!..lol

So I am a beginner watercolor painter and like to practice on something other than Arches. I also make my own hardbound watercolor sketchbooks so when I saw this I thought I would give it a try. Not usually a Canon XL fan but I thought what the heck, it is such a deal.It arrived properly packaged so the paper we in perfect condition. It comes in a nice box that is good to store the paper in.I know this might not be right but I swear this paper is nicer than what comes in pads, I really like it. It is even acceptable on the back side in my sketchbooks.I bought a second box because I was afraid it wouldn't be available forever.Hope this helps.

I was delighted with the price but didn’t realize the paper weight was around 90 lb. Not 140 lb of what is a heavier watercolor paper. I still use in my class for holiday cards.

Used this paper for my Elementary and Middle School Art students. It held up well and helped them create awesome pieces for the Art show!

I use these for printing xmas cards. Also for small pen and wash.

DOUBLE-CHECK THE WEIGHT OF YOUR PAPER BEFORE BUYING! This paper was a waste of money for me because it was unexpectedly lightweight. I've ordered large watercolor blocks of Canson XL before, and they were comprised of much heavier paper, so I was disappointed to find this batch wasn't anything like what I bought in the past. This lightweight paper will not be usable for my intended purpose of making eco-printed cards since it is so thin that it tears and warps after being saturated in the steamer. I'll have to use this for gelli plate printing instead, and will be forced to wait for better paper to be shipped while around me, the leaves I was hoping to print fall and become useless.The paper was also shipped entirely unwrapped, is loose with no binding, and was placed in in a box about 2 inches larger than the paper's dimensions. During shipping the paper rattled around in the box and the box split at one corner due to the weight, which made paper become dogeared and dirty. That's not what you want to get when you're trying to make art to sell! :-( In the future I'll be ordering my paper directly from Dick Blick Art Supplies.

I love it!!! I don't have to deal with the binding that comes in most pads, it comes in this box that holds all the sheets just fine! Very happy! I like this paper for watercolor cause it's cheap and takes abuse fairly well. It does warp a bit but if I just wet and flatten it I find it to not be problematic.

Being brand new to watercoloring, I wanted better than the $4 kids watercolor book of paper but I also didn’t want to blow big dollars practicing on professional grade paper. This Canson pack hit the perfect balance. I don’t feel bad about wrecking sheet after sheet trying to nail an effect or technique. Super value and I’m sure I’ll be buying more before I’m ready to upgrade.
