Great product
This thing saved me $400. It took a little while to get where I had to be able to get on the nut but once I was there snap. I was barely able to get lined up. But it got stable when I tightened it. I tightened down till I heard a little pop and the nut was split all along its length. The blade is still nice and sharp too. It has an adjustable blade and can be moved to any angle. Price is right too. Worked like a charm.

Damaged and non working.
Clearly a dishonest customer broke and then returned a damaged tool, however the distributor should have had a sufficient quality control to catch it and not to ship out an unusable product.I assume its a great and easy to use tool and will order it again once the return has been processed and the dust settles... in the mean time I just cutoff the bolt.

Great for tight spaces
I had a head nut on a motorcycle that would not break free. This tool was the only style nut breaker that would fit in the space. It is very sturdy and was able to split the nut so I could remove it!

Good... But not QUITE good enough for my main reason for purchase
I'm torn because this definitely seems like a decently high quality tool, but unfortunately, it just didn't split the nut I needed it to split.I've never used a nut splitter before and I know I was asking a lot out of this one by trying to get a very strong nut in a very difficult location, so I feel it's only fair to judge it positively, but not perfectly.I specifically got this one instead of the cheaper ones because of its prowess in hard to reach locations (tested and confirmed!) and because its seeming higher quality.Well unlike other reviews of cheap splitters, the tool didn't break when I took several stabs at this one nut at several angles and it did in fact cut through it like butter multiple times, but because of the very difficult location, it couldn't cut all the way to the base of the nut to properly split it. I ended up using one of the partial splits created by this tool to drill the nut off.In the end, it definitely helped and I'd be pretty confident of its effectiveness for more easily accessible nuts. It's a little annoying that the bottom blade part is not perfectly sturdy, both vertically and rotationally, but at least it doesn't fall out - when you use it upside down or at an odd angle, you might just need to use one hand to steady it until the other hand tightens it enough to ensure it's not going anywhere.

It does what it's supposed to do, but it may not be enough for the really tough nuts to crack.
I had a situation where I needed to break a nut that was pretty much welded onto the bolt. I figured if I could just get it split (coming at it from the side) I could pull it off and replace the whole nut and bolt assembly. The wedge rotates so you can get it to split at whatever angle you need it to, though it's a little difficult sometimes to get it set up properly since it spins so freely. You have to kinda hold it in place while you manually turn the bottom threaded bolt until it gets a bite on whatever you're splitting.Well in my case, it didn't work out, but every time I set it to do the job, it basically chopped part of the thing off as expected. I just didn't expect the bolt to be 100% melted/welded up like it is. I'm sure on any other nut it would have cracked it in no time and the whole time using it would be like 10 minutes and I'd be done for a long while. Maybe I'll find another reason to use it, but I'm done with it for now. It still looks in good shape though.

Next time I’ll buy a closed jaw splitter
I don’t know if the tool I received didn’t get tightened at the factory or what. There is a small set screw that holds the cutting but in place. The first time I used the tool the set screw must have vibrated out while using the impact wrench. When I took the tool off the bolt the bit fell out and disappeared in the void. Now the tool is useless. I did try to arrange a return but I didn’t get it shipped back in time. That’s on me.
