Reliable
Very cool solution to use my old xbox in a modern TV or Monitor, no problems with the image/sound quality, no configuration needed, just plug and play.

Works exactly like it says !!!
Honestly went through a bunch of options trying to get this to work on my current HD TVs. This one worked perfectly with very minimal lag or loss of detail. Super impressed and love the functionality.

The picture quality is DEFINITELY improved…
I wasn’t expecting Xbox 360 clarity, just an improvement over the component/composite cables. It definitely delivers that plus more! I have an older TV from 2011 so I dont how the output results would differ on a 4K model. I also hooked it up to my 1080p projector and the picture was clean. It’s light years better than using the composite cables, which makes the picture blurry, muddy and hard to keep your eyes on because of all the ghosting. $40 well spent, if you don’t want to pay $150-$400 for an upscaler the Kaico is 100% worth it. Not as sharp and smooth as the textures in emulation but it’s damn close.

Good, but some artifacting
The good:-Works perfectly in 480i mode-Working 480p (didn’t test higher res)-Very clean installation, just plug it in to the XBOX, no extra power cord needed-Is purely a converter and not an upscaler - your TV will do the scaling from 480i/p up to your panel resolution-No noticeable lag - Playing Halo feels normal. Far better than my TV’s composite processing-Audio: sounds great, stereo has right and left channels channels correct, not backwards. Haven’t tested the Optical output. The bad:-There is noticeable visual artifacting in 480p mode. See the attached picture - it manifests as thin faint grey diagonal lines that move while the screen is in use. They are hardly noticeable in some scenarios but are quite visible in dark scenes. It’s not horrible, and it’s still fun to play, but I’m taking a star off.My Framemeister gives better image quality, and also has a bunch of options for adjusting the signal, including scanlines for 480p, whereas this thing has no settings to adjust.Compared to a real external converter/ scaler setup, this dongle is much cheaper and uses less space and wires for setup, at the expense of a bit of video quality.

Works great as long as you set your AV Receiver correctly
*Please pardon my dusty AV Receiver as it is my old one I use in my garage.*This works exactly as intended but it took me half a day to get my av receiver to work correctly with it.I noticed some reviews said the 5.1 optical out did not work and only output sterk so this was one of the first things I checked. I hooked up the optical cable, assigned it to my correct slot on the receiver then turned it on. Sure enough, it was only stereo. This doesnt make sense because I know how the old HD Av pack works with the optical surround sound. It turns out 99% of av receivers have a hierarchy when it comes to their audio options ; HDMI>Optical>RCA.Even if you have the optical assigned to the correct slot it still wants to read the audio via HDMI which in this case is always stereo. I had to override this on my amp via the Digital Input button. Once I switched it to Optical *BOOM* I got my dolby digital.

Great picture, no hassles
Worked great. No hassle getting it set up, the image quality was crystal clear, and no flickering or weird artifacts while playing. Definitely worth the price to dust off the og xbox and play some old fave's.

HDMI Adapter
It didn’t work at all. So I don’t know if it’s my system or the product itself so I don’t even know how to rate this .

The adapter is GREAT but I found some problems that I managed to solve CHECK MY REVIEW FOR SOLUTION
The media could not be loaded. I want to clarify, the image quality deserves 4 stars, but you my find some unexpected problems in some few setups. I will explain what happened to me. I take one point down for this, and another because in some few moments you may appreciate some vertical violet lines in some few games (not big deal, and I also found a way to solve this but is not a cheap one)I got two different TV's a taiwan brand 1080p TV and my main TV a Japanese SONY BRAVIA 50 inches 4K HDR. My Xbox is a PAL console, and thankfully was modified.Cable works perfectly in the first setup, with 576i signal, BUT image pops in and out on my 4K TV, even when my SONY TV supports 576i or 480i perfectly with other consoles. The cable advertises it supports every region console, but I guess it may give some problems with especific modes / Combos. In order to solve this problem, and please NOTE YOU MAY FIND THIS PROBLEM ONLY WITH PAL CONSOLES AND MAYBE NOT ON NTSC CONSOLES (And also improve the experience)A) You must have your PAL XBOX console modified, if you don't, the console is very easily to SOFT-HACK nowadays, just do a search about how to do it.B) Once hacked you need to find a program named "enigmah video select" usually may be included on XBMC if not install it on your XBOX modified DASHBOARD, this program will easily modify your console to NTSCC) Be sure if in your config says NTSC USA or NTSC JAP, this may change depending on your XBOX hack, for me both work, but NTSC USA still gave me some little problems, so I changed it to NTSC JAP (Probably because my SONY TV)D) This change will amazingly also improve your experience, as PAL consoles are not capable of show the best of XBOX games, how to fully enjoy this? Check point E)E) go to your non modified Dashboard (most part of mods allow this) or do it from your modified Dashboard if it allows you (mine didn't so I need to go to the original one) Go to video settings and you will see you may now activate HD resolutions output for the games that support it, 480p, 720p and 1080iF) to solve the vertical lines problem in my case and also even improve more the experience, combine the KAICO cable with a Marseille MCABLE, if your game resolucion is 480p or 720p (doesn't work with interlaced resolutions) it will upscale the image to 1080p and will apply antialias and other corrections, the results with these two cable connected are IMPRESSIVE.The attached video is a combo of the KAICO cable with the MCABLE at 1080p on my 4K TV, and it looks absolutely great with all games. (but obviously the better is the original output of the game the better it looks)
