Excellent Companion to a Great Scale
FITINDEX makes an outstanding smart scale, and their app is one of the best I’ve used for tracking progress—so it only made sense to add this smart measuring tape to my weight loss journey. It pairs seamlessly with the app, connecting quickly every time without any hassle. The measurements are accurate and consistent, giving me confidence in the data I’m tracking. It’s a great tool for getting a fuller picture of my progress beyond just weight. If you’re already using the FITINDEX scale and app, this measuring tape is a perfect companion. Highly recommend for anyone serious about tracking their fitness or body composition changes!

Great customer support
Edited Review:Customer service was great in helping to resolve the issue I was having with the measuring tape. If this happens to you, take out the battery for five seconds to re-set. If that doesn't work, don't be afraid to contact them. They will walk you through the process to fix it.Old review with resolved issue:This worked great with my scale and app. After losing consistently, I suddenly saw a jump in measurements. They kept going up over the next couple weeks. When it showed I gained 8 inches, I new something was wrong. I hadn't bothered to look at the tape. The digital measurement was 8 inches higher than the measurement on the tape. I liked it while it worked.

Nice buy not very durable at all
It works very well and everything records to the app. But it does turn itself off rather quickly. That's a bit irritating but after you have to use for a bit you get experience from it so you can eventually get your measurements done before it auto shuts off. I don't know about anyone else's item but mine started to break, piece by little piece, right from the first day. You have to be gentle with it as pieces just seemed to break off so easily. I bought this in June but no it's October and its just completely useless now, it doesn't even show power on! You can use it to manually measure yourself but of course why would you when you've bought it in the first place for it to just appear digitally and then send your measurements straight to the app. At least it did last for some months, I guess. I wouldn't recommend it if you need this to keep track of your fitness journey as I have been doing because now you'll be needing to buy another item to help you out after a couple of months, just like I will be doing.

Works with the FitIndex, but there is a learning curve
Fit Index Tape MeasurerIf you have a Fit Index Scale and you have been wanting to do the measurements, you have likely seen this in the "things to buy" section of the app.Yeah, you can probably skip this and just use a plain measuring tape.First - battery somehow didn’t fit it right and would not turn on unless I took the cover off.Second - the tape measure is really fiddly; you have to get it to lock in the end and it is always coming out if you have any tension, or it will lock in so tight that you worry you will break it taking it out.Third - it is kind of difficult to figure out the app that takes the measurements.Every time I try and take measurements, I am faced with it turning off, unhooking, getting the wrong measurement in the wrong place in the app. It basically takes what shouldn't be a very long process and turns it into a 15-minute stressor that when you are done, you aren’t sure if you got the right measurements because your previous ones are wildly different.BUT --- That’s just me. I live alone, and had to operate this thing on my own. People with partners or with someone to help guide them, and maybe have a bit more patience that a person with ADHD does, might very well do better. It is accurate, so the different measurments I get are probably because I had trouble getting it around the body area just right, in the same spot and not having it come unhooked. So, take what I said with a grain of salt. Yes, it's accurate, but there is a bit of a learning curve here and it helps to have a partner or friend to give you a hand.
