Functions as it should. Easy install. Straight forward instructions. Have it connected to DCC50S 12V 50A DC-DC dual charger/ controller.

Most of my Amazon purchases for my van conversion solar system have been Renogy products. They are a trusted name in the solar industry and the BT-2 is the newest of the bluetooth modules. It is plugged into my Renogy charge controller to give me up-to-date information on the solar charging status. The only negative thing is the temperature readout on the app is in Celsius - not Fahrenheit and I have not been able to change it through any of the settings.

Bought a 30 amp BougeRV controller. Excellent controller, but very limited BT range. I had the same problem with a Victron smart shunt. Fortunately, the BT-2 fixes the problem for BougeRV. Not so much for the Victron. The 12 foot+ cable helps with placement, but with over double the range of the BT-2 it’s more a convenience than a necessity. For me worth the price of admission.

Great addition to my Renogy 1000W Inverter (version w/ eco mode). Very helpful to be able to see usage stats like active power draw in real time. Allows you to better understand the power that each of your electronic devices require to avoid overloads. Great that it's on your phone, compared to other inverters that have displays on the device, which do no good when the inverter is placed in an area out of site. Plug and play, very easy to setup. My only complaint is it does not seem the app auto reconnects to your saved devices - you have to do a refresh, which takes 10-20 seconds each time you go back into it. But like it so much, will consider getting the hub and readers so I can monitor the battery level and solar charger from the same app.

This does not workwithout a working internet connection. If you create an account the app claims that it will work over Bluetooth, and won’t require you to login again. This is a LIE. I just turn on the app after successfully setting it up a few months ago. The app said Token failed and requires me to login. If I were out camping I would be dead in the water. This also means it will fail to work once their servers go offline.You don’t need auth to read me the battery status.I camp once a month and it has never stayed connected. This last time it was working fine for a few minutes and despite my phone having no internet it logged me out in the middle of using it. And, of course, I could not login since I had no internet.Do not buy. Return if you still can.Rent claims they have updated the app to not require an internet connection but this too is a lie. They require that you are logged in, and your login token can expire while you are offline which leaves you no way to use the app when off grid.

Needed a better way to monitor my solar input and set the charge voltage settings. Plugged this into my Rover 40, downloaded the app, and bam easy to update voltages compared to the buttons on the rover. The lithium setting was a bit too aggressive for my lifepo4 packs.

I watched several videos and decided to purchase. It gives the basic system information and has safety defaults set. That is all great because I don't have a complex set up. The videos make it seem as if I can land the Mars rover. It isn't that complex, I (for my set up) can see basic information. Update!!! If I am over 8 feet from the vehicle it will not link. The bt range on this makes it an almost useless tool. I have to be directly next to the vehicle to link and check information. I could have had the same experience with a digital monitor since I am right next to the equipment anyway.
