Excellent service from vendor
I had a lot of trouble finding this book that was a number one request for Christmas by a five-year-old. this vendor is awesome communicated with me regularly and the book is well loved and well read. It addresses a fear of the dark, that a lot of preschoolers have in a positive manner.

Fun creative book
This is a cute children's book with rhyming lines. The mean greedy shark is coming up from the dark ocean depths to eat a bunch of fish--and he's portrayed as the scary, selfish, mean bad guy. The fish panic (in rhyme) and race off. A nearby squid comes up with a creative and humorous solution. My 4 year old son loves it. The cover has a jagged hole in it to mimic a broken ship porthole--the shark is looking through--it's a neat 3-d feature that my kid really enjoys. The art work is interesting and the drama is enough to keep a kid interested but not be too scarey. It definitely vilifies the predator, a common issue with many story books, but if you can live with that, it's a great book.

Great story for a cooperation theme.
I originally took this book out of the library and the kids in my daycare loved it. I felt it would be a good addition to my children's collection at my home. Nice theme how cooperation can over come fear.

Great rhythm
This author is so great that I seek out his books. I work as a volunteer in an inner city school in San Francisco. I work with k thru 2nd and this book is most suitable for the k's and 1's since it has rhythm and the rhyming text helps in their reading readiness skills and to top it off, he tells a good story. I am gradually accumulating all of his books.

Nice
Grandson loves this book so was thrilled to find it for him. It seems to be out of print, was unable to find a new book so purchased used. Unlike some, this book was in very good condition.

Awesome Book
My nephew has this book at school and I decided to order it for him and I had no idea how much he loved it. He is three and you would think he could read because he basically is reciting the book from memory. He thinks the authors name and artist are part of the story and reads them to you in the whole story.
