Works great
Don't hesitate to purchase one of these. Save some money, they perform just like a new one. The internet company wanted to rent me a new one the $10 a month. By purchasing this one, within 6 months it will pay for itself. Obviously it's easy to install, the signal strength and speed is what's coming in. I'm very happy I purchased this router.

Does the job — good ROI vs. renting
Nothing spectacular about this unit but it saved me the $10/mo. rental and has been working fine for 6 months so it's 100% paid for itself--all positive ROI from this point forward. The backend GUI is somewhat unintuitive but easy to learn to navigate.

Got me back on the air
DSL modem/routers are getting difficult to find. This one works well at a reasonable price.

I believe this modem was stolen.
I purchased this modem because I have an older system and it said it was a rebuilt modem. I have done that before when I received the modem it was in a CenturyLink box and it was completely new. I don’t believe they make this modem anymore, but it seem to me so we just picked it off the shelf and took it home with them to sell them. It did not work at all. It was packaged as if No one restored it, and it was still in its original box. It did not work when I tried to hook it up. I don’t know if this modem was stolen but it it was in its original box and everything looked beautiful and fresh. No one ever took it out of the box or any other wiring and it came in a CenturyLink box. I had this sinking suspicion that this modem could have been taken by somebody that worked at CenturyLink, but had not been linked to the Internet in advance to make sure it worked. Needless to say, we never got Internet out of it, and I returned it, and I was very disappointed. It was a real waste of my time.

Easy to install
I was able to hook this product up and have it running in just a couple of minutes. I purchased it several months ago, but held off on the review until I had used it for a while. So far, I have not had any problems, and it works beautifully.

DSL is not as fast as cable
However, this modem is more than sufficient for my what century link would afford us. Typically gets 4-10 mbps more down than it advertises. Sometimes more. No cut outs so far in the past few weeks of use. Wifi seems solid. Definitely not upset about the purchase. Better than leasing one of their overblown modems for the speeds they are selling.Edit: I’ve noticed the WiFi is poor regularly hitting a tenth of the speed and sometimes hitting half. Not impressed . The wired connection seems okay, but still not consistently great. Mediocre. CenturyLink and DSL are both mediocre at baseline though.

Works well
I needed a router as I was waiting for one to be shipped from my service provider, and this one arrived quickly and was a great price. It will now be my backup router.
