Q: Will this gel paste work well for making playdough?

Most likely yes but I wouldn't recommend it. It stains everything and it is very hard to remove.

Q: What is the consistency like?

The consistency of the americolor gel is thicker than water but slightly thinner than chocolate syrup. The older it gets, the more watery it gets. I use it & like it.

Q: Can the pink dye be used to color sugar cookie dough? Will it change the consistency of the dough?

Yes it can, it does not take very much at all. It did not change mine at all. Make sure that you chill your dough well and remember that the longer it sits the brighter the color becomes. I hope your cookies come out beautiful.

I ordered soft pink, and it arrived though. Every where on the package and bill it was written 'soft pink' .. only when I tore the main pack for colouring the cake-- it comes out mauve!!!
