Very nice reasonably priced spinner. Bought one for our home, and liked it so much that we bought one for our daughter in law's birthday.And easy assembly too boot!

Update to original review. Have two of these spinners for over a year now. Here are some Pros and Cons we found with some work arounds. Pro - Looks nice with copper painted finish. Spins freely with nice effect. Cute glass crackle globe. Easy to put together. Con - pole is wobbly on its own. Glass globe can break easily. Decorative nuts fall off easily. Workarounds for longevity and to make this better - tie the pole to a fence or other sturdy object otherwise the swaying height of pole will not allow the spinner to spin correctly. Put some thread lock on the decorative nuts to keep them on. Put some Lexel clear silicone sealant on the plastic bulb base to keep the glass globe better connected. Put Fluid Film spray lube or grease on the bushings to prevent rust and gumming up the bushing since its outdoors. The W stuff is not a sufficient lube for bushings. Tips - the blades are bent to spin in opposite directions. A breeze will make one side spin faster than the other is normal. Think about wind flow, the wind would need to come from both directions at the same time to make the spinner spin fast in both opposite directions. One side spins faster than the other is normal. If there is any wobble in the pole on its own, it cannot spin correctly, so you will need to secure the pole to a sturdy object like a fence or railing. Lesson learned from a different green bead wide blade spinner we have. If the crackle glass globe breaks, we found a similar single stake in the ground glass light at the mega discount W store was a suitable replacement for it. If the globe breaks consider an alternate source for a retrofit globe replacement. We have several wind spinners in the yard. These two particular spinners still have the original glass globes and function great when maintained. Glass is fragile. It is outdoors. Common sense, if the weather is bad or extreme, lift the spinner top off pole and get out of elements. Handle glass parts gently and seal to base. We have two of these spinners working great for over a year. This kit is the parts. Proper install, location, maintenance and upkeep are buyer responsibilities. We would recommend this spinner. Note it does take some care and planning to achieve the greatest result. It appears as a simple put together and go item, but it does need a little thought put into the assembly with proper lube, sealants and care it could last quite a while.

It doesn’t spin and the light is so weak. It is attractive as a decorative piece in my garden, though. Buy just for the “sculpture” look.

Great Christmas gift

The finish and appearance of the spinner are nice and do match the photos. We returnedthe first one because one of the support poles wasn't threaded therefore you couldn't screw it into the other poles that the spinner was mounted on. Amazon picked it up and we received a replacement in 3 days which is excellent service. The replacement assembled together nicely but upon testing it out, the light never would come on even after a full day of solar charging. Additionally, the spinner was way out of balance (as was the first one) so unless a gale force wind occurred, it simply didn't move....ah, that is why we bought it...major flaw. In a nut shell, this looks nice but poor manufacturing and quality control from China make it useless and aggravating. We sent this one back for a refund and won't order any more. We will buy one in a store where we can see it and make sure it actually works.

I used super glue and small fishing weights, as suggested by another reviewer, waoting for blades to settle and adding at the opposite blades at the top. Perfect! I used never-sieze on all threaded rods and greased the pivot shaft and it pivots with the wind easily.One thing I noticed was the box it came in said the light was a multi-colored led light, but it is actually solid white.The greatest thing is the when a heavily windy storm is coming, you can just lift off the top heavy, pivoting top section without having to lift the whoke thing out of the ground.Very mesmerizing spinner!
