Hayward SPX1600Z2 Seal Assembly Replacement for Select Hayward Pumps

Works as a promised on Hayward SP3000 super pump II

Easy install on a leaking Super Pump 700 SP2670010X15. Next day the cement pad is dry - no more leak. Used this Hayward part to replace a knock-off seal that only lasted 5 - 6 months. Hopefully this original part will last a couple years as did the original in the pump when new.

Boy do I love DIY. I had a large leak from my 6 year old Hayward Superpump, So for a little over 30 bucks, I bought the Seal assy. replacement, Slinger replacement and impeller replacement for the Hayward Superpump. And just to make sure I got it right, I even bought the $30 Seal plate replacement part. I looked up the rebuild process video online, broke out all the replacement parts and broke down the old pump, rebuilt it and had it back working in less than an hour. To buy a new one would have cost me over $150, but to rebuild it was less than half that price. The parts fit perfectly, work flawlessly and I'm sure will last another 6 seasons or more. I'm not the handiest person when it comes to pools and pumps but the idea of saving 50% is a great motivator for me. I'm not cheap, just thrifty!!

Replaced a broken motor on my Hayward Superpump and installed easily and works perfectly. Remember to add silicone lube (which you can get much cheaper than the Hayward branded stuff) when installing the piece into the seal cap into the mounting plate.

Did what they were made to do at a lower price then a pool store

I purchased 2 other generic branded seals and they both leaked immediately. Buy the Hayward and save yourself $$ in the long run and saves a ton of time and ANGER!

Amazon reccomended said most people buy these with the pump motor I purchased, but they are not the correct size, they do not fit, not compatible, waste of money, do not listen to Amazon!

Worked perfectly. Had an issue that part of the old seal did not come off and it first appeared it was not the right piece . Watched another YouTube video and removed the old sleeve with a pair of channel locks and the new seal went right on.
