Significantly reduced recoil on my Remington model 11, and looks good as well. Easy to install after fitting.

I bought this recoil pad to replace the factory pad on my Beretta Urika 391..The facory pad was starting to show wear and tear and at only about a 1/2" thickness and rock solid felt recoil started to become an issue. This pad definitely reduces felt recoil and I know longer have a sore shoulder after a good day in the duck boat or blind.The other nice thing is that the screw placement on the Decelerator pad matched up perfectly so I didn't have to add ant material to the stock for the screws. I should have made the switch years ago. I have used the Pachmayr Decelerator pads on other hard kicking custom rifles I have built so I know that it's a quality pad and that it definitely reduces the punch of hard kicking magnum rifles. In fact, I just replaced the factory buttplate on a 1950 Marlin 336 SC in .35 Rem, with a .6" thick Decelerator pad and what a difference. I guess that's why Pachmayr is one of the best known recoil pad manufacturers in the country,,,

Nice classic look, easy to grind to fit using a belt/disc sander. Use plenty of blue masking tape to protect the stock, go slow, wear a mask so you don’t breath the dust!!

Had to grind this to fit a Boyd's Pro Varmint stock for a Weatherby Vanguard action. I eventually got it roughly sanded to size and decided to quit while I was ahead. Great material, though. Really takes the kick out of .308.

As long as you properly grind it to fit it will look greatIt also does what it is supposed to do. Soft enough to adsorb recoil but stiff enough to allow for a consistent cheek weld

Nothing beats Pachmayr's Decelerator pads for comfort, and the "Old English" style adds conservative good looks to your rifle or shotgun. I ordered the medium size to fit a Savage 110 wood stock, and in trimming it, went through the rubber to the metal base in one small area. Order the smallest size you can get away with, particularly with the rounded Old English style. They trim easily on a belt sander or with a trim fixture and disc sander, but if you use too large a size, you'll lose the rounded shape and risk cutting through to the metal.
