Q: Can the cushion be picked apart?

Yes. I use them in my kindergarten classroom and the kids have picked at them.

Q: Is this a good cello chair?

It wouldn't be. As a cellist you want a stable chair with a back but no arms. (I'm a cellist too.)

Q: Does the stool come with the 2" increments or do we choose a size

Hello, the stool comes with all of the connectors required to make a 12", 14", 16", or 18" high stool. There s nothing else you would need to purchase. you can adjust the size any time you like.

Q: Will this work as a pool seat?

Inside a pool? I don't think so. It has a fabric cushion and I would be concerned about the bottom slipping in water.
